Imagine thinking Spider-Man 2 is trying to be GTA. That bike is from a specific side mission, and using vehicles isn't a core mechanic

Finished the main story last night, but I'm not done since it's so much fun to play

Fantastic combat, fantastic boss fights, fantastic traversal, fantastic story, and the best portrayal of Venom outside of comics. Hands down the best superhero game ever made. The improvements over the original are substantial and meaningful. This is kinda like Insomniac Games' Uncharted 2 moment

I'm also really glad to see that the game:

a. locks you out of side activities when the main story is in a state of urgency. None of that retarded, "hey V, you need to do this main story mission immediately, but don't forget to get laid with Panam inside a tank in the middle of a desert on your way here "

b. acknowledges that you finished the main story in its post-game content. None of that retarded, "oh no V, you died/got incapacitated at the end of the main story, so lets conveniently roll back time prior to the last mission and there's your post-game"

Good job, Insomniac Games!

Loved the review. Spiderman 2 is indeed a gem . No other platform churns as many great games as PlayStation.

Definitely a gem of a game. After finishing the original Spider-Man, I didn't even bother with the side content. It was filled with boring, monotonous stuff. Miles Morales was a little better in this regard, but Spider-Man 2 has so many interesting side activities. Been playing the game non-stop after the main story. I'm sure there are some monotonous missions here and there, but it's much less of a concern here than in the previous games.

Yes, it's totally due to a technical limitation and not licensing that the statue of liberty can't be interacted with

The limit of an underground map being beyond the scope of what Insomniac Games had planned for gameplay. Having an underground subway map for no reason is a waste of developmental resources if they aren't gonna do anything with it. The only reason those subway passages even exist is for the sake of authenticity.
