Laptop suitable for BCS

i hope i posted this in the correct section..anyhow im going to do BCS from KU..and wanted to ask since its a computer related feild what kind of laptop would be suitable for it..please only those ppl answer who already in the industry or currently doing BCS..also tell me the appropriate specs. so if i wanted to i can modify my pc.

Get any cheap second hand laptop. Once you get into your final year, then you can buy a good laptop for your final year project if needed

Compiling code does not require much processor power at all to be honest. Anything will do. Think of this way, even the slowest computer you've ever used is compiling more code in one hour of running then your class projects for an entire semester. If you can browse the web with a laptop you can learn basic coding with it. Popular IDE's dont require too much from your PC to run efficiently. I'd say more effort will go in understand the code or the logic. In case your still worried see if any laptop can run and of the IDE's below;
