i bought a 512kb package of wateen today & these r the speed results.........when i log in it says 512kb.........when i download it gives 50+ speed.........wats the matter?????

no torrent gives me 50+ easily but downloading something using firefox varies all the time from 10 to 45.........dont know why........
on a 512kbps connection, the overall downloading speed you get is 50kbps & sometimes more than that.... but 50kbps is average downloading speed. What exactly do you want?

Speed test is just crap. You speed is capped from your ISP Provider. You cant measure the exact & true speed of your Internet connection.
It happenes sometimes, speed test shows your more speed but you are actually getting low speeds on downloading/uploading.
YOU know that you bought a "512Kbps" connection then why are you worrying about your speed???
As i said that for a "512kbps", the avg. downloading speed is around 50kbps.

& why i am not getting 50+ speed on normal websites downloads & youtube also jerks alot even on small duration clips.
you can use any download accelerator (IDM or DAP) to increase a little amount of speed.
& You connection is new, so it will take a little time to work efficiently.
Just wait 5 or 6 days. It will be okay.
just use some other browser, or if possible try on different PC... also, use download managers to download things from other websites, that should solve your problem...
What ever connection you are using.....divide it by 8...and you will get your Download limit....512Kbps/8=64Kbps...
Your Downloading must be in between 50Kbps to 60Kbps which is ok...so Best not to worry about it.

50+ is a very decent speed on 512kb wateen, i got 1mb connection and 512 connection as well. on 512 connection through u-torrent my speed ranges from 45 to 65kb where as while downloading it fluctuates a lot between 30 to 50. so thats normal. i am not getting what your complaining about
