Is the no-commit iPhone a good deal?

Let's say you buy an 8GB iPhne at the subsidized price of $199 with the required two-year service plan. If you cancel service on day 31 of the contract, the early termination fee is "up to $175" according to AT&T's Web site.
The $199 phone plus $175 for early termination adds up to $374, which is $225 less than the $599 "a la carte" price for the same iPhone.

lets say i have some1 in the us who i know ....... could i get him to do this without getting in any sortof trouble or any stuff which would interfere in this.any other deal ??

374 plus $70 bill for first month and $27 tax on iphone makes ur price go up to 370 dollars. also add shipping charges and u r looking at 40k pak rupees.
