Intel Cuts Core 2 Prices, Introduces Core 2 Quad Q8400 and Q8400S
Our friends at TCMagazine have just posted an updated chart of Intel's Core 2 and Xeon processors that reveal two new CPUs, and some interesting price reductions. The new socket LGA775 Core 2 Quad Q8400 and Q8400S processors are both made using 45 nm technology, feature a frequency of 2.66 GHz, a 1333 MHz FSB and 4 MB of L2 cache. The S model has a TDP of 65W while the normal Q8400 has 95W TDP. Both processors cost $183 and $245 respectively.

This was evident with the release of the Core i7. Still I don't see anything appealing here. Where are the price cuts for the QX9000's Intel? The E8000 series price cut would be nice, coz their still going strong and are a better investment than their quad Q8000 counterparts.

Bro Q8200 is long available here in pakistan for Rs.14800 but the new price which u quoted is $213 which is roughly equal to 16.5k so where is the price cut or anything, it's even higher price than available here.l

hmm sorry mate didn't notice the s part. Now as i searched the internet i came to the conclusion that this s means that these processors are much more energy efficient than normal Q8200. Am i right?? Is there any other difference except power consumption?

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
