Intel cpu overclock help

AOA,
I'm currently using Intel G3258 Pentium processor overclocked to 4.5 Ghz on Asus H81m-c mother board, giving blazing performance. My question is, if i want to upgrade to i5 in future will this motherboard be able to overlock i5 processor to decent speed if yes how far it can go? ( using cooler master evo).

It will be able to overclock and i5 but how far can only be asked by a person who has actually overclocked an i5 using this board. I would say if it can overclock your pentium G3258 to that speed then you will be able to get a decent overclock out of it on the i5 atleast 800 Mhz - 1000 Mhz but this is just a speculation.

also note that 4th gen i5 is not very much suitable for ocing even with high end boards ... already turbo boost of i5 around 3.8~3.9 GHz, .... it may reach around 4.5~4.7 GHz very hardly and with burning temps ...

u will loose ur hardware if u r going to play with i5 on this board .. even good quality motherboards failed deliver best with haswell .. haswell is performance based chip.. u will not get a good overclocking like sandy bridge and ivy bridge

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
