id Software looking to push limits of Wii

Steve Nix, director of business development at id Software, says that the developer has a bunch of brands which would work on Wii.
id Software has been on the forefront of new gaming technology since it began and this doesn't easily translate to the Wii, a system which relies on innovative controls rather than cutting edge processing power.
This doesn't mean the Wii won't see any id Software titles though. The studio's director of business development, Steve Nix, recently told GameDaily.biz that id has a number of brands which would really look great on the Wii.
"We have a bunch of brands and maybe we'll look at partnering with somebody with some of our older technology that really would push the limits of the Wii and look at our brands and which are appropriate. See which makes sense, and this version of our technology would look better than any other Wii game out there," said Nix.
"We would modify it to make sure things made sense and add things in where possible, because the Wii is a fairly new graphics card, even if it's not a very powerful machine. So there are things we could do to make it look great."
This is very positive news for Wii owners and certainly bodes well for improved visuals on the Wii in the years to come.
