How to verify your steam account without buying games

Hey guys,many of you are frustrated with Steam's rule of verification i.e. we have to buy atleast one game to verify our account so that we can access its basic features like friend chat,add a friend etc.

Now if you dont want to buy a game and still get verified, then this tutorial is for you:

Carefully follow each step and please browse with Google Chrome Web Browser.

Step 1 : Go to CDAction and sign up with your real email (P.S. this site is in Polish and i would recommend you use Google Chrome because it automatically translates the page! :)

Step 2 :Verify your CDAction Forums account by confirming the link in your email

Step 3 :Go here DMMM and it will say that the CD key has been sent to your email (Remember you must login to your cdaction acc before accessing this page)
EDIT: If it says you need to be Polish then keep on refreshing the page until it sends u the email,If refreshing doesn't work then use a proxy

Step 4:Search your mail, you will find an email that contains a code, copy the code.

Step 5:Open Steam,Click GAME,then click Activate a product on Steam.

Step 6:A window will open up, now go through the windows by clicking next and when it prompts to enter the code,paste the code that you copied from your email and press next.

Step 7:Congrats, you have a verified Steam ID.

P.S. You dont need to download it just cancel when it asks to download the game.

Heh, if by games you mean like Battlefield or Deus Ex, then no because the games available aren't that amazing.Thats why I entitled it as "Verify your STeam account" not as "Get free Games"

Another thing, if I go to http://www.steamcalculator.com/ it tells me I have $0.00 amount of games in my account even though this game is for some bucks and I activated it. Any reason why... I know it was free that's why but you know just suspicious :looking:

Hehe..Bro, the calculator only calculates those games who have atleast some good fanbase.Hence the keys provided of the game were originally provided by the license holder (to increase popularity, i suppose :| )So, the same way if you add any other less known game, it also wont show up there.

That is just unfair and unjust and just whatever.... so you mean is if I purchase a $2 game it won't show up?
P.S: DMMM is a famous MMOFPS

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
