Hi There as title suggests i am looking for solution here i have the access to my modem
which is By SAGAM F@ST 1704 the thing is simple i want lag free gaming and i am on shared internet
where some of the ppl put on downloading or streaming things on Youtube and then the lag starts
so it would be better choice to give priority to gaming or stating and assigning bandwidth to devices
i tried looking for solution On youtube and usually found videos related to TPLINK which wasnt quite helpful as they have some exclusive feature called bandwidth control which my router don't have.

Well bro there are two type of solutions for this. First one is you have to look for a software that can do bandwidth control and there are countless of them available on the Internet. But the sad news is ive tried these software and deployed on my PC as well as my brother's laptop but sadly it didn't work that well as compared to a Router which has bandwidth control built-in.

So my suggestion to you is buy a TP-LINK Router with bandwidth control functionality so that you may not have to deploy or install such software on any computer or on the network. A router having this feature can resolve your problem in just few clicks, you could also assign Static IP's with their MAC Addresses so that the user might not trick you by trying to get a dynamic IP. MAC Address filtering will also helping you in restricting users. So like I said get a Bandwidth Control Router instead of getting into a software hassle.

For further details or query feel free to ask.

Well honestly I have no knowledge on how you can set this up on QOS, like i said and mentioned earlier ive just used few 3rd party softwares for this and routers that consisted of this feature.

But i can look it up just in case I'm able to understand them easily.

I've already sent you, well I deployed two profiles on my Router as given in the guide and ran Speedtest.net on both devices My PC and My Cellphone, the thing I noticed that sometimes on speedtest my PC tried to gain more bandwidth and sometimes my Cellphone, so therefore I can't be sure whether it is working like it should or not. Although I haven't tried one thing which is I haven't put a download on PC and checked the speeds on my brothers Laptop which ill check tomorrow.

But for now the load is distributing which ever device requires the most bandwidth so I'm not sure about it, since this kind of distribution is normal which we all face everyday.

Thanks for the guide i also added to profiles but i am facing the same thing u just mentioned who ever starts first gets the advantage if both devices starts its half half almost i believe its not working as it should

one more thing the internet is distributed here as a WAN here
there is Etisalat box and the Lan wire is connected to MODEM and then we select specific lan port to config modem

and pc is connected in this way

Modem wireeless >>>>>>> Tplink extender > wired to PC Lan

So i have selected Wan ETH 05 there in setting + Selected WLan in setting up the profile

A PG colleague of mine made this thread few years back and he explained the while process of Bandwidth Control so have a look. You'll also observe that he's using TP-Links device in order to control/manage Bandwidth of its clients.

I had a f@st 1704. Unfortunately on this shit modem it's not possible to do QoS based on MAC. You will have to change modem if u want QoS based on MAC.

any way to Block Torrents from my router ?

- - - Updated - - -

Do u mean we can do it in some other way NON QOS based setup in router ?
I don't remember but i think there was a way to QoS based on packet type and such. You would need to have a deep tech knowledge to set it up. Also you can block torrents, there should be an option somewhere to block p2p traffic.

Well in my knowledge you need to setup Static IP's first of all and you also need to remove all the Utorrent and BitTorrent ports from your router. I've searched the net any most people are talking about QOS and Bandwidth Control.

My Router consists of Parental Control but sadly I don't know how to operate/use it.

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
