How do I find a driver for home?

Salam,

So my parents are old and we need a driver, since I'm not home for large parts of the day. However, I have no idea how to go about finding one (other than asking friends etc), and I'm not sure what a reasonable salary is (I hear anything from 15,000-30,000).

Furthermore, we only really need one from 8AM-1PM.

Any idea how to find one?

Go to your bus adda, and ask for a driver from their, or go to some rent a car places and tell them you need driver.
From my experience, finding is not the issue, issue is the reliability of the person.

Yeah, reliability is the issue. The last driver we had got progressively worse in terms of punctuality, and constantly taking days for random reasons. I don't mind a fair salary, but the guy should do the job he agreed to!

Some rent a car also provide facility of availablilty of car+driver if only needed for couple of hours of day only, for monthly fees

What about careem? You did mention that your parents are quite old so maybe they are not that tech savy. But if they can make use of careem, you can purchase credits for the careem wallet that way they won't have to worry about any extra charges. You can save destinations with a name tag that way they can easily go to the place of their choosing.
