Due to the security situation these days, I need to re-activate the security camera's at my home. So I have 3 security camera's installed. Though I haven't used them since an year or two but I am pretty sure they work.

The issue is that they don't record any of the footage which requires a dvr I think. So I wanted some knowledge regarding that.

Which dvr should I buy? Maximum backup time I should keep for the recording? Can I also access these cameras through an IP online?

Also how much would a DVR cost me and can I install one by myself?

1) There are tons of different brand DVRs available in Saddar, buy anything that supports HDMI output so you can always upgrade to HD cameras as well in the future.

2) I'd recommend a 1TB hard drive at least (that's what I have), it records footage of around 10 days, but that's also because I have 6 cameras being recorded.

3) Around 14-18k for a decent one, with LAN, HDMI, recording and features like setting a passcode, certain timings, and a bunch of other stuff.

4) Yes you can access them online, you'll need a connection with decent upload speed though, and probably a Static IP address as well.
-Note: PTCL DSL not recommended.
