do not get a 6950, you could get a hd 7870 or a gtx 660. If you can't find either of those then just go with the hd 7850. Do not go with hd 6950, it sucks in comparison to the cards mentioned above. Also it is rumored that the "HD 6900 series" will not support directx 12.
DO NOT buy a 6950. That card is ancient. It was unstable even when it was new in market and right now they are like ticking time bombs. They have a maximum of 200 watts TDP and generate a lot of heat. So unless you have a good case with adequate cooling and a strong powersupply and you dont mind loosing your gpu in a couple of months then go for it. I would instead suggest you to look for a used 750 ti. It might b a bit more than your budget but it would run on a stock PSU and has good temps. you won't need a lot of cooling for it. Also it is possible to get a 2nd gen i3 in 15k with most basic of components. board processor for 10k max 9k with a bit of bargaining. 500 for a cheap case. and 800 for a normal PSU. get 2 gb ram for now with a small HD and at least you have something to start with.
Okay, thanks for your suggestions mate.. Im changing my mind from 6950 GPU.. Then, what about MSI GTX 460 HAWK TALON ATTACK Edition? Im getting that GPU for around 10k...Should i go for it for 720p? and 1080p on moderate settings of most games... 750 Ti is actually new and thus a bit expensive around ~15k used.. Regarding the length of this GPU.. its 9.4" long..do you think it can fit in a case.. like DELL Precision T3400?
460 is still an old gpu with a 160 watt max tdp. Performance difference between 460 and 750ti justifies the price also prices for 750ti would drop as soon as 950 would hit the market. About the case. It would fit in dell precision case but those cases are like coffins. I would suggest you to buy a cheap case with at least a few fan options. You can't get a branded i3 2nd gen in 15k and buying branded is just a waste of money. better make it yourself by buying parts from PG marketplace.
dont tell me you gonna put that 800 wali psu in a pc that with discrete gpu?
In 800 he can get a PSU pulled from a branded system which might have 20 to 25 amps on 12v. Those things don't have big brand names but they are built to last. With a 750ti paired with it, he won't have any issues.
