Hello again fellows. Second post in a day pheww.
Khair. I have the Haier Y11B 2in1 laptop(the PM Scheme one).
I dont do gaming on it,and nor have I installed too much stuff on the SSD(Also a HUGEEE issue)
Even when I'm not using any app, on the desktop I mean, the RAM is being used 60%+. This makes the laptop slow-ish, and often the on screen touch keyboard crashes.
Now, can somebody help me with the RAM? AND
I want to change the SSD, it fills up too quick. The advertised storage is 32 GB, and I'm getting only 23. Ik that this is normal with SSDs, but this means that it fills up too quick. Can anyone suggest how to move everything from the C Drive(SSD) to the HDD?
Or is it recommended to take out the SSD and put the HDD in the C Drive instead?
I'm not a tech guy so please ignore my noob terminologies.
I'm eagerly waiting for replies.
Kind regards.

1) Open up Task Manager and see what is constantly using the RAM.

2) Unless you need more than 250GB of storage, I'd just recommend getting a slightly larger SSD instead. 32GB is only enough for the OS and a few user files. Get a 120 GB or 240 GB one if you want. They're more than enough if you're not a heavy downloader/movies guy.

3) As for copying everything from the SSD to your new storage device, well I suck in that field, I just re-install Windows every time I do, however someone else here with more experience can help you out.

Then why not transfer programs and data to the HDD and leave the SSD solely for the OS?

I tried doing that but it does not allow me to, idk why. I mean I tried to move the program files and program files x86 folders but in vain. The Alchemist 4 GB Ram. What is paging?..
And what I mean is that even within NO usage the RAM is shown at 60% or above, is this normal? Because I thought that it wont be normal for any PC to show 60% ram being used without any actual usage...

Is Chrome open while you're checking RAM usage? Cause it's known to be a huge RAM hogger.

Also, you can't just pick up and copy Program files folders, you'll have to re-install them and set the installation directory in your HDD instead of in your SSD.
You'll then have to remove them from the SSD and leave only the OS on there.

Paging settings are located in advanced system settings > Virtual memory.

When ram is not enough windows will put some data from memory into disk and take it back when needed.
If your disk usage is consistently high it could mean that paging is using your disk. So check your disk usage. I have 128gb SSD and 750gb HDD and for both of them I get a usage of 0% consistently. (check using task manager.)

I dont know if it will be possible for you but try to disable virtual memory allocated to Hard disk and increase size for SSD.

Unless your RAM is VERY big you will have 40-60% idle usage depending on what kind of stuff you have installed. Even if it is 1 gb(my tab) or 6gb(my laptop).

Try to close your background apps. That should help.
