[HELP] HIS 6870 (Galaxy Problem)

So i bought a 3d card 'HIS 6870' been 3 months working great. Suddenly it stops working and i gave it for warranty. Had been over a month and kept receiving sms replies that its still under warranty. I call them up and they say we cant give you your card back because HIS doesn't have the same one to replace it with. So Galaxy says we will call you back and we will let you know (some of the refund amount value) back. Is this legal? nothing in there contract says such in terms of warranty claims. Plus HIS should refund full money back right?

If anyone else has faced a similar problem or in anyways help me otherwise do mention it.

bro this is what the companies do...
they will reduct some amount..
just like when u buy a car...and with the passage of time its value goes down..
if they dont have the card...then in the same amount...u should get a new card..
atleast this much can be done...

Ask them to provide some other card of equal worth. Also show your willingness for minor adjustment.
If the Galaxy guys could pursue your case effectively, they can get an alternate replacement if not exact one.

How much minor adjustments should i be looking for here. I mean only 3 months used. New 6870 is 19500

The manufacturer/supplier/distributor/re-seller reserves the right to charge certain amount to upgrade the product in case of product/component is discontinued by manufacturer. The same will be done after communicating/prior approval of the customer. In case the customer is not willing to pay the up gradation cost then the cost of the component will be returned after deduction of depreciated cost which will be sole discretion of the re-seller.

Galaxy is userfriendly as far as warranty issue is concerned,
dont worry, u will have options like refund or any other purchase of the item of equal value or more value by giving over and above money,
ask from pg member [MENTION=39471]Blastwave[/MENTION]
i think he had replaced some item from galaxy, i remember frm one of his threads......

Just take the money

FORCE them to give you a full payment of the card and buy another GPU

Galaxy is first grade aceholes when it comes to Warranty.


My PSU died and they did not say anything for a month when I sent it in for warranty.

Finally after a lot of yelling they refunded me 75% of the amount and I had to buy a new PSU.

Abuses will lead to ban shady business practice.

When a product is in warranty and not-replaceable you are entitled to full refund.

But this being an unfortunate place and shop, you should get as much as you can back from them.

Bro i bought a used GPU from galaxy there is a problem in GPU when i check i call them as i have 3 days check warranty and told them refund my money... they said to send them gpu they will check and after that they confirm that what to do.... one of my friend have shop in hafeez centre i ask him to go there and told them to send my money back but they delay in checking GPU i wait for 2 weeks and then told my friend to go to shop and ask why didnt they check there GPU and then he goes then they check my GPU in there lab and find same prob and take my money back ... Bro demand for full payment and force them that u do not wait more...

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.
