[Help]Getting timeout out in Battlefield3

Most of the times, in fact almost every time I join a server i get a disconnect after 1 or 2 minutes of gameplay or rarely 5 minutes and the game quit with reason

Game disconnected: your connection to the server timed out.

I really don't know what to do here. It's been going on for about 3 days and I am really disappointed. There is no noise or distortion in the phone line as I checked it. What do you think is causing the issue.

P.S I also played call of duty online to check what is wrong and that went pretty well without any disconnects. The only thing I noticed is that I get connection interrupted message on screen for about 2 to 3 seconds and after that game comes back to normal.

Check your router, CoD has better handling in case of connection interruption but BF3 don't wait for too long.

In what sense shall i check my router? I did a factory restore of the modem, did all the settings again and restarted quite a number of times. Still the same result

Don't know about your router's make and model, but mine has 4 LEDs and when the connection is interrupted Data LED turns off and then on after sometime when the connection is resumed.

bro dun worry i ve been through same situtation ... there is only 1 solution
do window 7 64 bit sp1
and use minimun 4gb ram
after istalling the game uninstall plunkbuster by clicking on them
and this l definatly help u

and bro remember to del tm name from the bf3 folder

The game's problem is that as soon as your internet disconnects, it just goes kaboom. It doesn't wait even for 10 seconds for the router to pick up sync. Not good for unstable connections.

Do you face internet disconnections often?
