i want to ask why is the price of all computer hardware increasing since last 4 months??????????price of everything was sharply declining 6 to 7 months back but it has now taken a U-TURN

1-2 weeks ago.. 1 USD = ~85.3 PKR

Now.. 1 USD = ~84.7 PKR

i bought my 2GB DDR2 Stick for 1750rs and now the same stick is near 4000rs.!!!!!

Has ANYBODY amongst you even read PG rules? REFRAIN FROM ALL POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS.

Instead of blaming EACH and EVERYTHING with closed eyes, try to look for real reasons for anything instead of following others like sheep.
- GPU prices all over the world have increased (particularly for ATI 58xx and Nvidia GTX2xx series).
- DDR2 is getting expensive as it is now being phased out from the market to be replaced by DDR3 (same thing happened with DDR1 when DDR2 was launched).
- After every Christmas season this situation occurs as stocks deplete due to high demand and supply decreases due to national holidays in China.
- And the most important factor is our desi shopkeepers. When dollar rate increased they increased prices of all products and told customers the reason. But there is no decrease in prices when dollar rate goes down. Now when the dollar rate remains same they still use the same old logic as they know that this works on most customers. I have had quite a few arguments with some shopkeepers regarding this. Those fools just say that "pechley mahenay dollar sasta tha ab dollar mehnga ho gya hai" even if the real situation is reverse. Um, no. The only GPU prices which were increasing (and are now declining) was the 5850, 5870, and 5970. The only reason these prices were increasing was due to the incredibly high demand and the incredibly low supply (due to TSMC's factories not operating fully - which has now been resolved).

Every single other video card is dropping in price - especially the ATI 48xx series and the GTX 2xx series.
