GTX 460 SC vs GTX 560 Ti

I'm tired of scouring the internet for reviews/clock comparisons etc etc. I need sincere man-to-man advice .

Simply put, the EVGA GTX 460 SC is priced at 20k, which is reasonable for me, but is the EVGA GTX 560 Ti worth an extra 6k? I'm going to couple this with a Q6600 Processor, AND I HAVE A 24" SCREEN WHICH I WANT TO UTILISE. (i.e 1920x1080)
However getting a GTX 560 will limit my chances of getting an external GPU cooler/or a pretty new casing.




Any help would be appreciated.

Get Sparkle GTX560ti for 21k or if you want a overclocked version with a better cooler then get the Calibre GTX560ti

its 560 with a Ti sufffix ...which means it dosn't has its one cuda core/cluster disabled. 336 cores versus 384 so....yes its worth it. More cores more GPU power.
their is no diff. b/w 460 and 560 though except 560 is clocked higher. 810 Mhz ref. clock.

a normal GTX 560 is for 18k.... i think its a superb deal... u can save cash and invest in the casing u want

Some people don't even know how to explain stuff.Man the basic fact is that GTX 560 ti an excellent performer and an overclocked version of it blows a 6950 away and its benches even reach a GTX 570 like seriously.The fastest GTX 560 ti is the Caliber version of it which is available for 24K at iamextreme.One thing i know for sure is that this card was meant to be played at resolutions like 1920x1080.

Comparing it to the GTX 460......It would never reach or even beat the 560 ti.

Well, the Calibre GTX 560Ti certainly looks amazing, and at a price i'm willing to pay as well. Seriously got my attention, however, I'm not very comfortable with this shipping business and making payments through online dealings.

@AliMan I'm sold on getting a GTX560 now, but galaxy computers (Lahore) is selling the EVGA GTX 560Ti for 26k, which imo is 2k too high. Any suggestions of where I could catch a good deal in Lahore? @blade I haven't seen a simple GTX 560 around in Lahore.

The simple GTX560 is available at iamextreme as well.

No, it is not FAR better.

You guys need to stop misguiding people.

What you see in benchmarks/reviews is not necessarily what you would experience on your systems.

At stock clocks of you CPU, these GPU will be bottlenecked by your processor. I know this from personal experience.

I assume that if you would invest in a CPU cooler for overclocking, you will have to compromise on your GPU budget.

Therefore, make a choice which serves your needs best.

Sparkle GTX 560 is a very attractive option at PKR 18000. This choice will leave room for a decent CPU cooler.
