Google Play store does not open

I have Nexus 7 2012 version and it has Android KitKat 4.2.2 version. The problem I am facing is that I am unable to access Google Play store. Whenever I try to open it I see the message "Redeem your code", "Gift Card & Promotional Code". I have searched a lot but I am unable to find any solution. Kindly help me!

2nd try clearing cache from apps

1. Your DNS in your phone is unresponsive and that you need to change it (Settings > WiFi > *Your WiFi network* > Change DHCP to "Static" ... use google for rest of the info if its not understandable).
2. Its being blocked by PTCL. In which case not to worry as it would start working on its own.

You can try clearing the cache and see if it works. In most instances it starts working this way.

Thanks abobobilly for your informative reply. I thought that Google's Play store policy has changed and one has to actually purchase from them from time to time in order to retain their access to the store and all the good free apps it offers. First I would clean the cache and for that I have searched the following guidance from google:

After that I would solve the DNS thing as you advised. And last of all I would factory reset my tablet. I would keep you informed and hope you would help me.

[MENTION=6304]Insane[/MENTION]! Before doing a factory reset, try a "VPN" (like Hotspot Shield, HideNina, OpenVPN etc) and see if Play Store works on that. If its being blocked by your ISP then it'll work with a VPN just fine.

If your Tablet is rooted then delete hosts file from System/etc.It should work

dont tell me u installed clean master app ? if u did then factory reset wont work.. i really cant figure out how did i fixed mine.
