Discussions about adapting the God of War series to the silver screen were circling before God of War 2 was even announced, but we've heard jack diddly about the movie since. Entertainment Weekly recently chatted with ol' David Jaffe, however, and confirmed a script has been completed by scribe David Self (Road to Perdition, Thirteen Days). "I keep expecting them to call me and say it's dead, but my fingers are crossed," said Jaffe.
The next step is to start feeling out potential directors, but as we saw with Halo, even when you have the people behind the lens ready to roll, that doesn't mean it'll happen.

This is really bad news. Why can't they come up with something original than make a movie of God Of War? And I seriously doubt they'd do it good enough to please the fans because it would burn some serious cash.

well jaffe seems to be confident in the script, he probably had some level of input in it, and it'll probably go through a bunch of re writes before the final script is formulated, there's hope.

Silent hill gave hope in terms of game-to-movie movies's.

I guess. Although the blood-and-guts scene at the end was awfully executed. It ruined the entire movie's subtlity.

this is the guy jaffe wants to see playing kratos. Put some white powder on him and a fake beard, his physical state is pretty good.

I'd rather have the former WWE wrestler Tyson Tomko play kratos, he looks almost exactly like him naturally.
