Hi Guys,

I have just started having issues with my RX580 8G OC (1340MHZ) after updating the latest drivers (19.1.1). The card works fine in windows and in furmark it boost all the way up to 1340 MHZ or even higher with temps hovering around 75C but as soon as I start a game or any 3D application loads the card just crashes to a black screen with green flashes or crashes to a low-level fatal error, and after closing the application or game from task manager or after restarting the system I get a message that Wattman has been restored to default settings. I did some digging on the internet and found that underclocking my card to 1150MHZ (GPU) resolves the issue completely and it does.
I have not modded or overclocked the GPU or fiddled with memory or voltage setting ever.
I have rolled back the drivers, used DDU and even formatted the system and loaded over old drivers but to no avail, any version of driver I use seems to have the same issue.

If anyone had faced a similar issue with their card or have found a fix please help me out

My system:

Core i7 8700
Gigabyte Auros Gaming 3 Z370 board
Corsair LPX 8+8GB DDR 4 @3200MHZ
Corsair TX650 PSU

Hey bro.
Underclock your card to the base settings.

Google Non-OC 580s and set it to that.

Thanks for the reply, I have underclocked it to 1150 MHZ and it's stable at this frequency but is there a fix or I keep my card underclocked for good?

As an fellow AMD user I recommend to go with following:

-Download and install MSI after burn, copy this Profile to MSI folder, as it fix voltage and fan issues.
-Flash Card bios with AtiFlash and update BIOS profile from their website, and never ever try to change voltage from Wattman.
