Getting 6MB stats on on 1MB student Package

I am on PTCL 1MB student package and my downstream/ upstream rate it was 6112 and 700 something. What I want to ask is Does this mean I`m on a 6MB connection if I am why Im not receiving 6MB speed ? PLease check my stats below as currently on a 1MB connection Im constantly getting speed of 130-150 KB and no issue at all check my usual speed test result. And NO I dont live near the exchange or something its quite far from here...

Whats more strange is this is the speed I get when test with Speedtest goes above 2MB sometimes to 3MB even in day time, check speedtest.net today`s result.

My Question if I am really on a 6Mb line if so why Im not getting 6MB speed and is there any way I can improve my speed with these stats. Just curious !!!!

If your line profile is more than your subscribed package than that doesn't necessarily mean you should be getting high speeds, in your case 6mbps (at random occasions you might).

HELP GUYS..........

Its been now 2 weeks since I applied for package change from 1MB to 2MB got confirmation from 1236 on 17th Jan that it would take 48 hrs but DAMN those Ptcl CS people. Talked to the supervisor (Which I was told he is ) he said ive forwarded request on priority basis 3 days have passed still nothing. The reason I'm writing this is to ask what is the matter with these people why they are destroying their own livelihood with this kind of attitude. Just see the comparison I also have Qubee installed and believe me i called their CS guy for upgrading package 2 month back and he changed my package and speed while I was talking to him on call...

Finally please advice if any of you had similar problem how it was fixed and what was your next step after the call centre I do plan on visiting the exchange but who is the correct person who can get this fixed ??

Dear the screen shot u post ,, its showing u r on 1mbps Connection .. see again .. and ur uploading is slow it should be 0.35 mbps

if u wna t6mb speed in less prce then convert our package to 2mb and when ur snr is 6000 downstream then u will be able to enjoy 6mb speed in 2mb price

i am using 2mb and my speed is 8mb

they are not giving proper speed
I converted my 1mb into 2mb,but the speed was same then i replaced to 1mb again

if u r getting 6mb stats on your modem even though you will not get 6mb because your id is on 1mb and your line profile is at 6mb so that doesn't matter unless you have 6mb account created by ptcl's end.

n you guyz please tell me how to increase my line profile it is 1024 k down and 256 up I am on 1 mb package fiber optic

When I was on copper line profile was 1536/384 and was getting higher speed than fiber.

I asked dsl guy but he said he cannot do it. please help

I told ya on WP and gonna say it again... If they don't want to change your profile you can't force them. Besides the new line profile is the one most people on student package get.

Dear bro, they keep the data rate higher on copper due to factor of losses in line. We get lucky sometime to avail full speed while in fiber optics losses r less so they fix the data rate. And bro u need user name password of 6 mb link to see the magic ;-)
