naah, i for one think H3 will be a bit disppointing in comparison to Gears.

i certainly hope it doesnt..i think bungie may have learned from their experiment on halo 2's story...after all..halo 3 iz gonna be the final chapter and we WILL finish the fight!!!!

hmm..xbox here,and its not like that i hate the ps2..i just bought the xbox just cuz of Halo 2

dont worry lol, im not going to eat you for buying an xbox. Anyway, you do know halo 2 is coming to the PC as well right..

thats the sole reason the xbox franchise has never gotten to me, most of the better xbox games are also available on PC's with improved graphics and whatnot. While the PS2 has had like a butt load of games that you won't find anywhere else..

have you seen shadow of the colossus usuf ?

no i havent seen it but it has reached my ears though...and yeah i knew that halo 2 was gonna come on the pc but i knew that i wouldnt have the specs even by then to play that game on a smooth frame rate..so i thought for the xbox...and its pretty good...most oof the games on ps2 are also available on the xbox

yeah, plenty of multiplatform games to go around but here's the thing, a lot of the good ps2 games are available only on the ps2, final fantasy, metal gear, resident evil (sort of) etc.. you know.

Multiplatform games isnt the ps2's strength i'll admit that, the xbox has the better versions of a game if its multiplatform, but the amount of good xbox only games are like a drop of water in a lake to ps2's good ps2-only games.

and you can't beat the ps2 when it comes to life span, even now ps2's getting great games where as the last good game xbox got was in like 2005, i think

yeah thats true too...i've also played metal gear solid..but only the first part and loved it..and those good wrestling games are also on the ps2 too but im not worried about that...im gonna get 360 in 2008 i hope when halo 3 will be out and the price of 360 will be very less by then i hope

as for my next gen console prefrence, none as of right now lol, just upgraded the pc a few months ago and cash is nill.. but i'll probably buy the one which has the games i like more around 2008

There's nothing to discuss really, halo 3 is on a completly different level from gears. People who have played it ( 1UP, EGM ) are already saying its much more awesome than gears.
