Hey guyz, I am finally able to get my new home and now I have to furnish it, I went to many furniture shops for bedroom sets but they are not so beautiful and they are not cheap as well since I need 5 bedroom sets so the total is somehow jawdropping expense for me, those shopkeepers are asking hell lot of money I have been searching internet and found China bedroom sets beautiful and they are cheaper due to very limited use of wood in their bed sets and they are being imported here in Pakistan the price is reasonable and they are good for 4-5 year use as well, I need a little help here about the retailers if there are any importers with showroom here in Karachi?

Visit Liaquatabad and the places Blastwave mentioned... U need to look at cheaper places. All u need to look for is the type of wood used in furniture. If its fine den ur good to go..

^ nope, i don't think so brother. the ready-made are cheap as compared to the one made by carpenter as the shops which sell the finished product, make it in batches, so it costs less to them.

Hey! Having recently been tru the same ordeal, I'll share my experience with you: I mainly needed 5 items for my room (Bedroom) a Bed (duh), a PC table (double duh :p) , a solid Almaari, a side table and a dresser/table with a mirror thingy.

I went to two of the places that Blastwave mentioned; Nursery and Saddar. Both places have wonderful items, tho I hadda buy a NEW bed , and I was able to get a great used Dresser & Side table from Nursery no problem. As for the new bed, I spent most of my budget on it buying new, and in the remaining amonunt I trolled tariq Road looking for a "skilled" carpenter who could follow my instructions and designs, bought him wooden sheets (also from tariq road) and had the PC table and Almaari made at my place. Both items cost me at least 40% less thn market price and were upto my specs.

Also, regarding 'China ka maal' I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from it at least in the Bed department as they tend to get creaky after just a couple of years. get something with at least twin bars running down the middle of the bed (incase of a Queen/King size) and be sure to check the 'swayability' of the bed like you check a car's shocks/suspension when testing.

Hope this helps bro!

I had a max budget for 50k... Total damage was like this:

Bed (queen size) from tariq road: 23,000. There's these 'Platform' style beds in markets these days... absolutely amazing stuff very Japanese and chique...Removed the headboard coz it was a gaudy red color monstrosity! Otherwise the price was a solid 25k.
Dresser+Sidetable for 10,600 (used). Closet (9,000) and PC table (8,800) coz I have some future expansion plans of another table being inserted in its side... the extra thing that killed my budget was the transportation charges!!! the suzuki wala charged a frikking Rs. 2500 for hardly 3km drive to the bed to my place!

I think with a bit of patience and searching you cn find a lotta good deals in these markets. I had an 'expert' employee from my office with me so he was 'Teh AuthoriTAH' on price and material side that helps a lot!!

Well if you need refurbished and used (in great quality) Go to Lines Area or Nursery. You will get a bed-set in 30k and which you can't say it's new or used. Otherwise new showrooms ones will atleast cost you a lac per bed set.
