What about you? Although chrome remains my default browser I am starting to feel the edge is a great browser and I find myself using it from time to time. Your thought?

Great browser. Pretty fast and a simple design. However, it does need addons like addblock and others...

I liked Edge quite a bit, though it didn't seem as polished as Chrome. It's fun to use, but I don't use it as my default browser since Chrome is just so much more streamlined, like it knows what I want when I right-click something :p

Edge has potential but it's way too barebones right now to be considered as first choice. I don't think it even asks where you want to download a file or if you can even change the default location.

The only factor that is preventing Edge from being my first choice is addons and ability to change some other stuff. Its new, but its good. Let's just hope MS properly devotes its time to Edge so it doesn't become another IE.

nah I don't like edge at all. A site that has a few flash animations takes ages to load due to its gonna load the whole page at once thing plus I found the latest firefox to be faster than both it and chrome

On point, it has potential but cannot be the default browser for now; not for users like us at least. And you're right about the default location part, I couldn't find any setting for that even by going on about:config page and was rather surprised.
Would consider to move from Chrome to Edge when it has Syncing options through Google Accounts like my Chrome does as well as Extensions support which I'm sure they might add down the road if they're serious about their browser game as just like you said, it shows a lot of potential so let's hope for the best.

Edge is a lightweight browser and fast as compared to IE but Chrome still remains my default browser due to the add-ons, font family, font size and few other factors.

I think Edge has avoided power-user oriented features, and I think part of that reason is Microsoft's departure from the insane amount of settings harbored by IE. They want to make edge as user friendly a.k.a dumbed down browser. They have started from the basic now and I think given a year or two, edge might become a serious rival in the Browser community, which I think will come from user feedback as the browser matures.

For those who want to change the default download location in MS Edge here's how to do it:

1. Open the registry editor. You can open it by hitting Windows + R, typing “regedit” into the run menu and hitting Enter.

2. Find this entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. You can get there by opening the folders in the left pane.

3. Once there open the registry key with a Data setting of %USERPROFILE%\Downloads. It will probably be named {374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B} and will appear on the right-hand side panel.

4. Set the Value data to the new file path where you want EDGE to download files too (ex: C\downloads). E.g If you want downloads to save to the desktop set it to %USERNAME%\Desktop. Obviously replace the variable "USERNAME" with your windows 10 username.
