Final Fantasy Rebirth is the second part of the Final Fantasy VII trilogy, developed by the Japanese company Square Enix. The action role-playing game (RPG) is set to release exclusively on PS5 in early 2024.

The game continues the story of Cloud, Tifa, Barrett, Aerith, and Red XIII as they journey to thwart Sepiroth's plan to summon Meteor to end life on the planet. In the game, players explore a vast open world outside of the city of Midgar. You can explore the towns of Wutai, Gold Saucer, Kalm, and more.

PlayStation 5 - The best is yet to come.

FF7 Rebirth is definitely in my 2024 to-buy list along with many other PS5 exclusives not releasing on other consoles - Lost Soul Aside, Phantom Blade 0, Rise of the Ronin, Project Awakening, and The Awakener: Risen.

Square Enix FF games quality in terms of storyline and performance have indeed gone down ever since FFXV.

But I will make an exception for FFVII games.

The game has a special place in my heart. It was one of my fav PS games alongside MGS and RE2 that I played in 1998/99 when I was doing my Intermediate in Karachi.

The emotional element, music, and gameplay of FFVII makes it a classic gaming gem. Seeing the polygon graphics of the late 90s in 1440p/4K glory of today is a treat to the eyes.

I agree. gone are the days when final fantasy was the best. Now too much diversion to other genres. and the core of final fantasy has been lost

I am enjoying FFVII REMAKE on my PS5 a lot. The nostalgia element in the game is beyond words, esp. from the perspective of a 90s gamer having played and finished the original PS version multiple times.

I am eagerly awaiting the release of the next iteration of Cloud and the gang's journey in 4K glory - FFVII Rebirth. It will be a tremendous visual upgrade from Remake that focused on Midgar.

I don't buy games a lot, like many gamers. But when I do, I only go for gems like this.

Did you take inspiration from other titles when building your open world? said:

We always watch the games that come out from home or elsewhere. The experience gained in the open world of Final Fantasy 15 has helped us a lot, but that's not all, because personally, I'm a big fan of The Witcher and Horizon. So, we look at what worked, but we always have in mind to add our touch to this game so that it is specific to the Final Fantasy VII universe.
Go Witchaaaaa 🤜🤣

Go Horizon too I guess (yikes!) :ROFLMAO:
Go Final Fantasy XV too I guess (yikes!) :ROFLMAO:

If these 3 games' open worlds are the only source of inspiration, I sure hope Witchaaa is the primary one 🤜

It's the FFVII dev team's "touch" "that is specific to the Final Fantasy VII universe" that I'm interested in 🤩

Just completed FF VII Remake and playing Intergrade now. FFVII universe is out of this world.

I believe we are in for quite a treat next year by SE.
For sure, can't wait for Feb 29! I also recommend playing the Crisis Core remaster if you haven't already 👍

CerebralTiger should've asked. 🤷‍♂️
I did for several games, including the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion 🤜
