They didn't make it clear but just said "Unfortunately, the content is going to be releasing later than originally expected."
that's the key statement isn't it :p

the Anchorage and Pitt DLC on the PS3 was supposed to be released in July, but now they're saying "hopefully by the end of September".

i stopped caring for this game halfway in it ... Fallout 3 is an insult to the original fallouts ... infact it's not even as good as oblivion ... just a cheap remix using the same engine ...

^ that's just a retro-snob statement. fallout3 is epic. i have played both the originals; and they're awesome awesome games. but fallout3 is amazing in it's own right.

granted; oblivion is my favorite game of this generation thus far and probably top 3 in the best games of all time. it's got that depth that fallout3 doesn't have.

but i don't get this "fallout3 sucks" attitude.

@jayzzy:

mothership zeta has been announced; you get abducted by aliens!

i started playing fallout3 again last night. game's still solid gold.

I could list so many things wrong with Fallout 3 ... but i don't want to get into it ...

Oblivion in the best 3 games of all time ? ... that's just strange, i mean it's a good game but to call it one of the best 3 games of all time is seriously streching it ... this statement of yours has pretty much thrown aside all the great games ever made ... i mean have you played very few games in your life ?

Fallout's biggest problem is that it gets boring real fast, there's only so many errand boy quests that one can take and there are like 3 dungeon templates and are all pretty much the same ... oblivion had the same problems ... the story is almost non-existent and bethesda could seriously have done better than modding oblivion with fallout ... it's just a re-skinned game to milk cash ...

^ wow, that sounded piss-take-full!

i guess i have played quite some games in my life. and i don't think there's anything wrong with oblivion at all. i still stand by the best game of this generation statement; that and portal.

but fallout3 is anything but boring. i mean, i don't get the dungeon crawling bit of your beef against it. it's an rpg: what's wrong with dungeons!?

i wanna counter the re-hash arguement by putting in one i've used before to defend fallout3: and that's the scumm. it was used for dott, monkey island, bass, so many classic games. they all looked the same fundamentally, but each one was different at the same time.

scumm was a great new story-telling medium. the oblivion engine is the same. i see no harm in rehashing a good formula.

To each his own i guess .. i would have preferred to see fallout retaining it's original style ... i don't know, i just don't like the elimination of turn based gameplay in todays day and age .. you rarely find any good turn based rpgs nowadays ... it's all realtime ...

the dungeon crawling doesn't bother me much .. i love it .. i'm a huge diablo fan ... it's just fallout got really monotonous after awhile ... sure i had almost done every quest and almost finished the game by then but still .. it's just not fun if i've gotten the strongest i can be 40% into the game ... with no equipment to find and no serious character progression left ...

same thing happened in oblivion i made a mage and grinded making all my stats full ... the game turned too easy after that .. walk into room, cast a spell of paralysis, then cast a tri-elemental spell on all creatures and well they're dead .. they should space out character progression so you hit ur peak near the end ... it keeps one motivated for further gameplay ...

I totally hate Oblivion....ended the main quest in 4-5 hours and I was like "That's it!?"....wasn't interested in the side quests to begin with....maybe I was looking for a more fleshed out, story-driven experience....plus, the combat system is totally shallow, with the most poorly animated hack n slash I've ever seen....and eventually, the game simply turns into a loot collector's paradise

Now, I do understand that Oblivion is a critically acclaimed game....would've probably been GOTY 06 with most critics, if it weren't for one little Gears of War....I guess it just isn't my thing, then

On-topic, I do like Fallout 3....same developers, I know....and it even shows, with both games sharing certain elements....but on the whole, the story, atmosphere, and set of characters felt more appealing....heck, the people from that Megaton town probably showcased more personality than the entire generic bunch in Oblivion....plus, the combat is deeper and less monotonous, relatively speaking....you have the whole V.A.T.S. thing going on etc etc.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
