I guess ure clock is too high. Artifacts come for that reason only.

tell me something bro, if my clock was too high, then my pc would fail to start up, wouldn't it? cuz my pc starts up perfectly fine, and everything runs ok, except when i run 3dmark06...and there are artifacts, but the video also disappears and changes colors....and i havent oc'd the graphics card at all.....right now im running at stock speeds and everything is fine...

hmm well raheel that pci option is not the same so sun fiddle with it...

what i wud suggest is that since ur card is SC edition...u might mind underclocking it to default GTX 275 values when OCing quad to 3.0 ?

try this and report back

raheel one more thing i would suggest you check out.

download 3dmarks 06 from some other website. like not the one from where you downloaded and try again. make sure its patched up too. this was happening with me in vantage that as soon as the first test started it was showing artifacts...i downloaded it again from torrents and ran it n it came out perfectly fine. could be that you have a bugged version of 3dmark 06

Just my 50 cents dude. When i overclocked my 4850 i used to get artifacts also. PC started just fine. I reduced the clocks and it was cool.

I downloaded 3dmark06 from a torrent, it wasnt from a website, but i just patched it with the latest patch, so ill see wut happens

i havent oc'ed my card at all....this is occurring wen i oc my cpu to 3.0

in my opinion if you take the cpu to around 3.6 and oc the card you can very easily touch 165. but this score is pretty good too though

yeh ur rite alienware....ive seen some score in the 17,000 range with ppl having their cpu's at 3.6

im gonna try and take it to 3.6, lets see wut happens
