as far as deciding between the two cards, if money isnt an issue than go ahead and buy the 280.

haha, i actually just oc'd the processor to 3ghz....and ran 3dmark06, but it started to give artifacts while running the benchmark.....i have no idea why......then i brought it back down to stock 2.4 and its working fine again....any ideas as to wut mite be the problem? and how is the stock score that i posted?

p.s i didn't overclock the card at all when i ran this second benchmark

in which test did you see the artifacts raheel???....and what were the gpu and cpu temps when you started getting the artifacts?

in the first run they showed in the second to last test, it was the dragon one (forgot the name)....and the second time i ran the benchmark it happened in the very first test (return to proxycon)

as far as temps go... my cpu was at 35 degrees....and my card was around 60 degrees wtih 80 percent fan speed

dude raheel..all i can say is that by any chance while overclocking ur CPU...did u accidentaly increase the pci clock....keep it at 100 pls...maybe thats causing problem...

or maybe its the unlinked ram clocking on the nvidia chipset thats causing this....try fiddling with the ram and other bios settings a bit...

Oh and btw dude wo coolant ka kia scene hai ?

ill check out the BIOS and do some tweaking, but as far as i can remember i didnt change any unnecessary settings.

and abt the coolant, if u can keep it with you, then the next time i come to lahore, which should be sometime in may, then ill definitely pick it up from you. is that cool?

and yea u didnt fiddle with the settings...just check that the PCI FREQ is AT 100...and NOT AUTO

shajeel the only things i could find in the BIOS was PCI latency timer.....is that the same thing as PCI FREQ?

and it cant be set to exactly 100....rite now its at 64....the next option is 96....and after that is 128 if i remember correctly
