i do remember every arsenal fan calling for wenger's head a couple years ago.... and then suddenly everything cooled down.... i have no idea what makes wenger irreplaceable.... you, sir, did an incredible job at Arsenal... you gave them the highlight of Premier League football in the Invincibles and you won trophies... Now you've lost the plot, are dreadful tactically, and have made a habit of selling the best players year after year.... Thank you for everything but please leave now, for the betterment of the club.

why is this so fucking hard to say? there are atleast 6 or 7 different managers right now, who would love to manage a club of arsenal's stature and will do an infinitely better job than wenger has done these last 8 years

Why the time has finally come for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to go, by Matt Law - Matt Law - Mirror Online

i urge every arsenal fans to give this a read...

Wenger started the season hoping Abou Diaby would avoid injury, hoping his goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny would play every game, hoping Gervinho could somehow succeed as a striker and hoping Van Persie's goals would not be missed. But what did he really expect?
He deserves respect and admiration for what he has achieved. He does not deserve immunity.

Heh Morgan kaisay ro raha hai ab :p I remember his tweets on the opening day when United lost and RVP played, while Arsenal won in colorful fashion :p The same RVP kicked Arsenal's arse in style :D It could have been another 8-2 this time...

Anyways, onwards and upwards.

Difficult games for City coming up next.
Easy string of games for United (by easy, I mean against bottom ~12, which are by no means easy).

If RVP avoids injury, Hernandez remains in form, defense does not lose another player, then this team would keep winning the next matches hopefully!

Last season, at this very juncture in the season, Arsenal were only a point better off, and everyone was calling for Wenger's head. Then they went on a run. True, they had Van Persie then, but I am pretty sure they will be able to manage without because the other teams in direct competition with them for the fourth spot are all going to self destruct at some point.

And Everton just don't have the squad depth to push for a fourth spot. One or two injuries, and they will drop out of the running. Case in point, Fellaini's injury over the last 4 weeks, and their results during that period.

And as far as another manager coming in and taking Arsenal forward? Bullshit.

Funds. Arsene lies about it. The Arsenal board lie about it. Gazidis lies about it.

Arsenal just are not willing to spend big money to buy players. They are also not willing to pay the big bucks in salaries to keep their star players. The Arsenal wage structure is like some kind of socialist utopia, but that will not attract, or keep a hold of your star players. That is why Arsene goes for the bargain players, and they don't seem to be coming off like they used to.

Arsenal need a good left back, and a world class striker. Klas-Jan Huntelaar who is being linked to Liverpool - I really hope Arsenal go for him in the January window.

Arsenal will still almost certainly finish fourth barring a major collapse. Getting knocked out early from the Champion's League will help them as they will then focus only on the League and win the trophy they win every year for coming fourth in the League.

hmir but will the proud, older generation of fans be content with this? they're not only calling for wenger's head you know... they're calling for gazidis's as well... and a change in the board.... that's hard to achieve certainly but shows that the fans aren't only scapegoating wenger.... do you honestly think playing like this, and the with the wage structure, they'll be able to tie in walcott to the club? sure walcott's not the best player in the world but keeping a player penned in does seem to signify intent from the club... something we haven't seen from them since the f.a cup of 2004

It will be stupidest move by KJH if he choose to join pool tbh.

Sure they need a good striker ahead of Suarez but they are far away from being a complete team that they used to be few years ago. Why would Classy striker like KJH will leave Schalke who are showing ambition by gathering players around him and doing good in domestic competitions and UCL for a club who is not even close to finish under top5 this season and No UCL for atleast 2 seasons.

They do lack ambition imo and what BR has started will take 2-3years. The first two years recovering from the damage caused by Dalgish!

that would be a most blatant contradiction of one's employers... united fans are in the same boat.... how many times has fergie come out and supported the glazers when everyone knows something's wrong.... wenger can't very well come out and call the board a bunch of liars, can he?

but still the wages are there man utd to keep stars they have plus not if big decent amount to spend, arsenal biggest problem is not keeping the stars by not breaking there old wage cap , and only buying from selling .TBH Wenger knew RVP is gonna leave no matter what he bought santi and lukas pod cause he knew cash will come from RVP sale

you misunderstand... point is, what will be the use of coming out and disgracing your employers? Any sane person knows arsenal don't have money.... they already know the board is lying and wenger is defending them.... coming out and blasting them will serve no purpose....

But Fergie is indeed spending and buying proven players too (like RVP, Kagawa) and is also investing in talent (Powell, Jones). I guess Fergie spent around 50 million in the summer (24 RVP, 15 Kagawa, 8 Powell, few more here and there).

And the period has been heavily successful. One CL, 4 PL, 2nd place in PL twice (lost by one point, and then on goal diff). So I think that Fergie need not justify as much as Wenger should, who bought players like Chamakh, Giroud, and is playing his main players out of position, and does not strengthen the position everyone is crying out for - GK and defense. :s

Fuck the proud, older generation of Arsenal fans. Fuck them till the cows come home. They need to get some successes going in their own personal lives so they don't have to rely on the successes of other people to feel good about themselves. Fuck them.

They don't like the way the Club is run, they can show their disapproval with their feet and their wallets. Stop going to and spending money on tickets.

Arsenal wage structure needs to be revamped, undoubtedly. Walcott and Squillaci should not be on the same wages. This is clear to all. But renegotiating contracts is not as easy as you might think. This is England we're talking about. Not Pakistan where players can be hired and fired on a whim.

I personally don't care if Walcott stays or goes.

My only concern is Arsenal's form and their overall football. Over the years of not winning anything, they have still played the best football in the League. That is what I want to see. That is what entertains me. Watching over paid prima donnas prancing around wearing their medals and holding trophies by playing rubbish football does NOT entertain me at all.

E,g, Two years ago, United won the League. Not by any great footballing prowess, but by being the best in a poor bunch of teams. Last year, United would, and should have won the League had they not crumbled under pressure like a French Biscuit.

This year, we have three teams in United, City, and Chelsea all clear at the top, and they have all flattered to deceive. I can't even think of ONE match by any of these three sides where they were consistent for a whole 90 minute spell and destroyed QUALITY opposition.

This is the state of the game in the EPL as it stands right now. Forgive me for not caring about who wins what. I just want to see football, and I want to be entertained, not bored to tears.

I know this is a very difficult concept for "football fans" to comprehend.

Hmir is right in his own terms cause he watch football for entertainment but those arsenal fans are pissed in England who are paying highest season ticket prices of emirates and seeing team without trophy. Also 2nd biggest market for revenue is Asia and those Asians love to switch clubs younger generation will support club wining by buying there merchandise also seasoned fans leave supporting clubs losing arsenal will lose revenue outside England and few years time big players will think twice to join arsenal or not unless arsenal just keep on producing from academy like Jack Wilshire.
trophy is must to keep this club on right track

hmir when you're spending 100 pounds a week (the highest ticket price in england), you're entitled to Abuses will lead to ban about the club's success... you're just someone sitting at home being "entertained" so you've no possible idea what the arsenal fans who actually pay their hard-earned money, are going through. it's not irrational that they want something tangible in return for their continued support.

You've misread my post. I am not being entertained. This is my biggest concern. Arsenal not winning any trophies is fine by me, but not seeing them play great football on top of that is what worries me.

Secondly, I am not contesting their right to Abuses will lead to ban and moan. I'm saying, as articulately as I can, fuck them. And God, I wish they would shut the fuck up, but that is not how a democracy works.

Furthermore, Abuses will lead to baning and moaning accomplishes nothing. Show your discontent by NOT paying the £100 per week ticket prices. Because Arsenal runs like a well oiled business machine, THAT is what will get their point across. Plain and simple.

Finally, anyone that thinks another Manager can come in and work miracles with the kind of budget that Arsene Wenger seems to have at his disposable is completely deluded.

No one wants to see Arsenal turn into another Liverpool. Believe me when I say this: Arsenal without Arsene will quickly fall to pieces.

i can't completely agree with this... the only reason why arsenal have consistently finished in the top 4 is that no other team has really challenged them for that spot.... liverpool and everton aren't threats to the 4th spot any more... and spuds have this mental barrier against arsenal... no matter what they do, they simply cannot finish above arsenal... so it's not really wenger working wonders here as far as im concerned....

point is, you can look at teams and say that, yes these teams are in transition... 3-4 years and they'll be much better.... liverpool, united fall in that category.... for arsenal, it seems limbo to be honest.... their lack of progress is scary.... the fans are apprehensive more than anything that any good player develops and it's time to cash in.... that's what they've been doing for the past 6-7 years
