EB's Top 5 Console Exclusive that made PC gamers cry
Every PC gamer had this moment in their life. You looked up on the internet, found an awesome, amazing game that gets your hopes up and you think of playing it or you heard of a popular game coming up and you scroll down to see it's a Abuses will lead to banin Playstation or Xbox exclusive L Why, just why? Every PC gamer knows that feeling pretty well. If you haven't experienced it yet.. maybe you started gaming a couple of months ago or you are just a PC fanboy, no offense.

Consoles have their fair share of games that make PC gamers go out and buy those consoles because it's totally worth it. While PC gamers have been successful in emulating Wii, PS2, PSP etc. PS3 and Xbox are the 2 big consoles that still remain out of their reach :s So they have no choice but to buy it. So, without a further ado let me start the list on the top 5 console exclusives every PC gamer cried for..
5) Ni no Kuni

Every JRPG fan knows the pain. I feel ya bros. Almost all the big JRPGs are released on Consoles and that too mostly on Playstation/Xbox ;s While many of them are available on PS2/Wii waiting to be emulated, they aren't enough to sate our desires are they? So PC gamers like me can either sit there, drooling at that amazing looking JRPG or buy the console.

Although Ni No Kuni isn't a PS3 exclusive, it was released first on the DS but hey, who doesn't want to play a Studio Ghibli inspired game in 720/1080p and not on some up-scaled windowed shit. At first impression this game somewhat looks like a Hayao Miyazaki style film asking to be explored by the player and it should be as the art style is inspired from Studio Ghibli and the animated sequences are actually done by them. The DS and PS3 versions have differences in the battle system, an extended storyline in the PS3 one, some other features and obviously the graphics. Overall my impressions to this game as a PC gamer and as one who actually haven't played it, is that this game is a treat for the eyes. Haven't played it so won't comment anything on the game-play or storyline.
4) MGS IV: Guns of The Patriot

Hmm, So you have been following the famed Metal Gear Solid series on PC/PS2 and you are loving it so far and after MGS 3 you are just stunned by the amazing storyline. You heard about a new MGS coming up after a couple of years and the nostalgia kicks in and you are wondering what an amazing game it's gonna be. Well BOOO! it's for the PS3 Abuses will lead to banes.

MGS IV was highly anticipated by its fans. Although I've seen this title getting mixed reviews, some saying it to be the worst in the series. But the impact factor was real. Everyone wanted to play this. My friend bought a PS3 for the sole purpose of playing this game xD So not going into whether it stood up to its reputation, it's still worth playing especially by someone who was following the storyline.
3) Red Dead Redemption

I just.., wouldn't want to get started on this. Cowboys, horses, outlaws, guns, vast wastelands and a free to explore world. Is there any other reason I wouldn't want to play this beauty ;s Red Dead Redemption is Rockstar's second best selling videogame after GTA series I guess. Its available on PS3 as well as the Xbox. Either way it should have been on PC man, DAMN. I have played Call of Juarez to sate my "cowboy" and western style game desires but whenever I look at this game I'll say it again and again Call of Juarez and other relevant shit is nowhere close to this masterpiece looking game. Do note I haven't played it so I dunno if it actually stands up to its reputation I've heard over the net but still it's worth it I guess.

2) Uncharted Series

So here comes our Indiana Jones excavating tombs, ruins and treasures. The setting and environments of this game seem unique and attracting. Although PC gamers have their Tombraider, from what I've read around the net and what I feel, the Uncharted Series have a better storyline. Not to mention the games seem to have made serious improvements in the battle system and environments and it's not just exploring ruins anymore.

1) The Last Of Us

Naughty Dog, you one naughty dawg aint ya ;s No Uncharted for PC ok.., No TLOU for PC too? Isn't that a little harsh. An action-adventure survival horror game set in a post apocalyptic world with an awesome storyline, this alone makes it a little unique as most survival horror games don't have a good storyline. People have said they really feel attached to the characters so the character development might have been something awesome.

Whoa Whoa right there guys. Some of you might be thinking "What the actual **** man, no Xbox exclusive?"

Well hold your horses gentlemen. In my opinion Xbox has only 2 big popular exclusives and these are Halo and Gears of War. While both are awesome and deserved a place in the top 5 they won't be getting it in my list. It was a matter of personal preference you can say. Sci-fi setting games just don't appeal to me that much. I find these games have a harder to comprehend storyline and I just don't feel attached as I don't know what's going on. So don't mind if you don't see your beloved Halo or Gears of War.

WHAT A TITLE PS 3 exclusives were really Something

Man that "Metal gear solid 4 " was really EPIC perfection

Kojima literately killed its own franchise with Phantom pain with so much broken plot but MGS 4 was the most clear advantage of consoles on pc and
ps3 on consoles

But you DID end Final Fantasy exclusive on it.

The fact that people who're ardent PC fans STILL felt the need to own a PS4, that itself strongly hints at the strength of its exclusives. Even if they're few and far in between.

You missed the point where he regrets his decision.

Yet he won't be able to sell it without playing Horizon. By then the new Last of Us 2 trailer will be interesting enough to hold on to the stupid black box for another year or so.
Maybe he will be far more intrigued by the new Zelda trailer. And still end up getting disappointed.

Multiplats take up the majority of gaming for most people, in quality and quantity, and everyone knows the best platform for that. Then even for the occassional exclusive, the consoles value becomes hard to justify when its collecting dust most of the time.

Multiplats take up the majority of gaming for most people, in quality and quantity, and everyone knows the best platform for that.
If we're generalizing, then the meaning of "best" can vary. Usually to take those multiplats to a "Best" level, the cost of entry is higher than a console. Higher costs and sacrifice of console exclusives for the sake of improved fidelity. Miss out on titles like Uncharted and Final Fantasy to play some titles at 10-20 more frames per sec with slight more details? Not something that can be generalized. Which brings me to the actual point...

Remember I mentioned Uncharted and Final Fantasy? These titles mean lesser to some gamers than the gain of 10FPS, probably dude to lack of history with the franchise or difference in tastes and preferences. People can even buy console for ONE game/series if they're loyal. And the console wouldn't really collect dust if you don't mind playing the multiplats on it. But what if someone wants to play PC exclusives? Owning a console would be stupid for'em, right? In the end, it boils down to personal preferences.

Generalizing is never quite accurate and doesn't help someone make a decision or even a point. I personally know that most multiplats run/look better on the PC but if we look at generalizing KPIs of sales, active players, etc. then it becomes harder to make that point.

I suppose that being gamers, specially mature gamers, we should be able to appreciate a good game irrespective of its platform. If it's exclusive to that platform, then that makes that particular platform desirable to some degree. At least that's how it works for me or any rational unbiased gamer. Yeah, I'd love these exclusives at 1080p/4K 60FPS but that doesn't mean I'd skip them.

Lets talk numbers, since thats the personal preference of the masses. Most played games on PC around the world are League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter Strike. Heck even Skyrim is still on that list and TF2. You dont even need super computers to run those and no amount of resolution or fpsis gonna make them look better than a modern title. Look on the console side, multiplats outsell the exclusives and most played online games are your annual Call of Duty and Battlefields amongst other multiplats. Youll only see the vocal minority on forums screaming that everyone needs to play Uncharted and FF. And thats what Im getting at. Not everybody is interested enough in those games. Not even the console gamers themselves going by the numbers. Would they play RDR if it came out on PC? Some would, some wouldnt. Do they care about it enough to get the console for it? Some do, most dont.

Im afraid your assumed reasons are at fault here. Theres plenty of exclusive content on PC for the unbiased gamer. 1080p60, 4K are the reasons to stick to PC, not to "miss out" on an exclusive on console. Buying a console wouldnt lessen the importance of PC, but you gotta realize the interest and/or value is just not there for every PC gamer who preferred to invest in a PC. This article mentions MGS4, It would probably list MGS V too were it an exclusive. I didnt even bother pirating it. My loss you say? I can live with that. DietyDevil couldnt wait to play FF, bought a PS4. Didnt he? Game didnt turn out to be worth it, he can play all multiplats on PC. Now what? $360 collecting dust for who knows how long.

No. Let's not.

If you read my post carefully, that was the exact point I made. You're twisting numbers to your point. Someone will twist it around another way using another metric or KPI. I am against mass generalization. We do know that the number of dumb people are much higher in number than intelligent ones or those who've realized their potential intelligence.

I never said otherwise. I never selected a particular console or PC. I used generalization how it should be. Gaming Platform, PC is one too and my statement holds true.

Never said otherwise.

I still hold my copy of MGS4 on the PS3 that I bought on 12th June 2008 (MGS4 release date).
I sold my copy of MGSV and I do not remember any dates (despite being more recent).

Just not in the same league. So yeah, by my standards, MGS4 is your only loss, not MGSV.

He's welcome to sell it. Consoles hold their resale values better. Last generation I bought and sold the X360 3-4 times.
