EB's Top 5 Console Exclusive that made PC gamers cry
Every PC gamer had this moment in their life. You looked up on the internet, found an awesome, amazing game that gets your hopes up and you think of playing it or you heard of a popular game coming up and you scroll down to see it's a Abuses will lead to banin Playstation or Xbox exclusive L Why, just why? Every PC gamer knows that feeling pretty well. If you haven't experienced it yet.. maybe you started gaming a couple of months ago or you are just a PC fanboy, no offense.
Consoles have their fair share of games that make PC gamers go out and buy those consoles because it's totally worth it. While PC gamers have been successful in emulating Wii, PS2, PSP etc. PS3 and Xbox are the 2 big consoles that still remain out of their reach :s So they have no choice but to buy it. So, without a further ado let me start the list on the top 5 console exclusives every PC gamer cried for..
5) Ni no Kuni
Every JRPG fan knows the pain. I feel ya bros. Almost all the big JRPGs are released on Consoles and that too mostly on Playstation/Xbox ;s While many of them are available on PS2/Wii waiting to be emulated, they aren't enough to sate our desires are they? So PC gamers like me can either sit there, drooling at that amazing looking JRPG or buy the console.
Although Ni No Kuni isn't a PS3 exclusive, it was released first on the DS but hey, who doesn't want to play a Studio Ghibli inspired game in 720/1080p and not on some up-scaled windowed shit. At first impression this game somewhat looks like a Hayao Miyazaki style film asking to be explored by the player and it should be as the art style is inspired from Studio Ghibli and the animated sequences are actually done by them. The DS and PS3 versions have differences in the battle system, an extended storyline in the PS3 one, some other features and obviously the graphics. Overall my impressions to this game as a PC gamer and as one who actually haven't played it, is that this game is a treat for the eyes. Haven't played it so won't comment anything on the game-play or storyline.
4) MGS IV: Guns of The Patriot
Hmm, So you have been following the famed Metal Gear Solid series on PC/PS2 and you are loving it so far and after MGS 3 you are just stunned by the amazing storyline. You heard about a new MGS coming up after a couple of years and the nostalgia kicks in and you are wondering what an amazing game it's gonna be. Well BOOO! it's for the PS3 Abuses will lead to banes.
MGS IV was highly anticipated by its fans. Although I've seen this title getting mixed reviews, some saying it to be the worst in the series. But the impact factor was real. Everyone wanted to play this. My friend bought a PS3 for the sole purpose of playing this game xD So not going into whether it stood up to its reputation, it's still worth playing especially by someone who was following the storyline.
3) Red Dead Redemption
I just.., wouldn't want to get started on this. Cowboys, horses, outlaws, guns, vast wastelands and a free to explore world. Is there any other reason I wouldn't want to play this beauty ;s Red Dead Redemption is Rockstar's second best selling videogame after GTA series I guess. Its available on PS3 as well as the Xbox. Either way it should have been on PC man, DAMN. I have played Call of Juarez to sate my "cowboy" and western style game desires but whenever I look at this game I'll say it again and again Call of Juarez and other relevant shit is nowhere close to this masterpiece looking game. Do note I haven't played it so I dunno if it actually stands up to its reputation I've heard over the net but still it's worth it I guess.
2) Uncharted Series
So here comes our Indiana Jones excavating tombs, ruins and treasures. The setting and environments of this game seem unique and attracting. Although PC gamers have their Tombraider, from what I've read around the net and what I feel, the Uncharted Series have a better storyline. Not to mention the games seem to have made serious improvements in the battle system and environments and it's not just exploring ruins anymore.
1) The Last Of Us
Naughty Dog, you one naughty dawg aint ya ;s No Uncharted for PC ok.., No TLOU for PC too? Isn't that a little harsh. An action-adventure survival horror game set in a post apocalyptic world with an awesome storyline, this alone makes it a little unique as most survival horror games don't have a good storyline. People have said they really feel attached to the characters so the character development might have been something awesome.
Whoa Whoa right there guys. Some of you might be thinking "What the actual **** man, no Xbox exclusive?"
Well hold your horses gentlemen. In my opinion Xbox has only 2 big popular exclusives and these are Halo and Gears of War. While both are awesome and deserved a place in the top 5 they won't be getting it in my list. It was a matter of personal preference you can say. Sci-fi setting games just don't appeal to me that much. I find these games have a harder to comprehend storyline and I just don't feel attached as I don't know what's going on. So don't mind if you don't see your beloved Halo or Gears of War.
