e8400 stock temps

I bought a used e8400 and want to know whether the temps I am getting are ok. I removed the old thermal paste and applied a new batch before installation.

CPU Speed: stock 3ghz
HSF: stock intel
Idle temp: between 42 (at 2ghz speed step) and 52
Load temp: 79 max with prime 95
Ambient temp: 34-35 room temperature, no AC

So is it ok or is it too high? I don't intend to overclock. All temps are in degrees Celsius. Temps were taken using real temp.

Those are normal temp's for the stock HSF. I'd prefer you get an aftermarket HSF that'd bring the temps down between 60-70c.

Those temps are good as its very hot these days , Just a bit high but nothing to worry about..

Temperature at full load is too much imo. It should peak at 85*C max. 95-100*C is too much. Dont overclock at all..

I agree with shary. The peak is too high. But if you don't want to overclock its just ok. But you can always buy separate fan for that.

Its 79C .. Not 95C , and on a stock HSF and with this much heat these temps are fine..

Idle temps are ok but peak ones are too bad .....
its temp threshold is around 72 so be carefull..
