Yasir Nadeem: What is the general latency you get in games. I average 5-6f of lag. I have to clarify that I'm on the ps4 and I've tried playing with people from the middle eastern lobbies as well as european. I've only gotten two matches which had a delay of 1-2 frames. Also, what connection are you using? I'm on Nayatel.

grimr3aper I get like 4-5f EU mostly (sometimes 7-8f if someone is from northern EU or so i think) and 1-2f delay middle east, i am using a local cable internet connection. I was afraid about the game's netcode cause it wasn't GGPO's rollback based but delay based instead, surprisingly it's implemented well so online is pretty fine.

Yasir Nadeem: wow that’s actually very nice. I rarely get a 1-3 f match. It’s mostly 5-7f and sometimes goes higher than 10f. I have Nayatel and have connected my os4 via an Ethernet cable. Also, how do you select which players to play with. Do you go into European lobbies or just go into world match? I might have to double dip if the game is smoother on the PC

I have to even select “anything goes” in network settings while searching for world matches otherwise it takes ages to find me a match. I generally do casual so maybe that’s the problem

[h=1]Dragon Ball FighterZ’s premium DLC characters revealed[/h]

[h=2]With a bonus for those who own Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2[/h]

Dragon Ball FighterZ’s next two characters will be Broly and Bardock, according to Bandai Namco in an announcement in the Japanese magazine V-Jump.
The two characters will become available as premium DLC although their availability date and price were not announced.
Broly and Bardock duked it out in 2015’s Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 the next year, which may be why they’re showing up together here. Muscle-bound Broly packs a Gigantic Meteor super attack that uses up three bars from the energy gauge. Bardock’s super special is the Revenger Assault, which transforms him to Super Saiyan and rains down fury on whoever is facing him.
Siliconera notes that anyone with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 — presumably on the same platform — will also get additional Android 21 costumes and accessories within Dragon Ball FighterZ. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launched on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One; Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on the same platforms.

[h=1]Dragon Ball FighterZ hits Switch Sept. 28, comes with a SNES-era DBZ classic[/h]

[h=2]Pre-orders come with Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden[/h]
Arc System Works’ fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to Nintendo Switch on Sept. 28 in the Americas, publisher Bandai Namco confirmed today. The Switch version of the game was revealed at E3 last week, but without a specific release date.
Bandai Namco is offering a new pre-order incentive exclusive to the Switch version: a downloadable copy of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden, the Super Famicom fighting game that was released in Japan in 1993. Bandai Namco says that Super Butoden for Switch will be the classic Japanese version of the game.
Pre-orders will also come with early access to SSGSS Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Dragon Ball FighterZ was originally released in January for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, and has since gone on to find a wide audience. The game will be featured at this year’s Evo fighting game tournament in July, and appears to be the most popular game of the event.

[h=1]Dragon Ball FighterZ open beta and new multiplayer features coming to Switch[/h]

[h=2]Goku can finally throw down with Goku, Switch-style[/h]

Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball FighterZ is making its way to the Nintendo Switch this fall, and today, Bandai Namco announced on Twitter that an open beta test for the game will begin in August. New multiplayer features, including two-versus-two, one-versus-one, and offline six-member party match modes will be available upon the official Switch release on Sep. 28.
Nintendo first announced that the title would be coming to Switch during its 2018 E3 Press Conference. Similar to the console and PC versions of the game that were released last January, Dragon Ball FighterZ for Switch will include a wide cast of characters from theDragon Ball universe. Controller-wise, players will be able to choose between various options, including a single Joy-Con or Pro Controller if they’re looking to get competitive. The game’s classic three-versus-three matches will still be available on Switch in addition to the newly announced multiplayer features. We’ve reached out for clarification as to whether these features will be available during the beta period.
In addition, Bandai Namco is incentivizing users to pre-order the game before its Switch release with a downloadable copy of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden. Super Butoden is anotherDragon Ball fighting game that was originally released for Super Famicon in 1993 and covers material from the original Dragon Ball series and Dragon Ball Z. As another bonus, players can beef up their Goku and Vegeta-heavy rosters from the get-go — pre-orders also come with early access to SSGSS Goku and Vegeta.
Dragon Ball FighterZ has been well-received since its release in January, going on to become the most popular game at the Evolution Championship Series 2018. While the game certainly caters to fans of the franchise, that doesn’t mean it’s inaccessible to outsiders — there’s plenty to offer for non-fans and, as we wrote in our review, a story mode that will allow novice players to ease into gameplay. In addition, new players can always refer back to our beginner’s guide.

[h=1]Dragon Ball FighterZ is getting Cooler[/h]

[h=2]He’s joining Base Goku and Base Vegeta soon[/h]

Bandai Namco is bringing another new character to Dragon Ball FighterZ: Cooler. The brother of Frieza is coming to Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball fighting game sometime after the Aug. 8 release of Base Goku and Base Vegeta, which Bandai Namco confirmed were coming to the game last month.
Cooler’s reveal trailer, which you can watch above, dropped after the conclusion of theDragon Ball FighterZ grand finals at Evo 2018, at which Dominique “SonicFox” McLean handily defeated Goichi “GO1” Kishida, crowning SonicFox the game’s first Evo champion.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is now available on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Cooler does not yet have a release date.

[h=1]Here’s Android 17 in solo action in DragonBall FighterZ[/h]
[h=2]Arrives Sept. 27 with Cooler[/h]

As mentioned earlier this week, Android 17 is the next fighter coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Yesterday, Bandai Namco ran out this trailer from Tokyo Game Show featuring him.
Bandai Namco also confirmed that Android 17 joins the game on Sept. 27 (that’s next Thursday) alongside Cooler, who was announced back in August. The fighters cost $5 a la carte, and are part of the FighterZ Pass that delivers all of the premium DLC.
Per Bandai Namco’s official description, Android 17 “uses multiple barrier techniques and long-range ki blast attacks to deal with almost all situations.”
“His strongest move is the Super Electric Strike, a large-scale swirl of energy that can be executed both on the ground and mid-air,” it adds. Other reports said Android 17 packs a Barrier Explosion dash attack and End Game, a sneak attack from behind.
A new stage, Space Arena, is due to arrive next week, along with a broader update to the game. Android 17 will make 27 fighters on the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster.

[h=1]Janemba and Gogeta are coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ[/h]

Janemba’s even got his trademark portals

Dragon Ball’s ultimate incarnation of evil, Janemba, is on his way to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Janemba’s arrival to the game was announced just after FighterZ’s Grand Finals at Evo 2019. The announcement came in a trailer that showed off some of the demon’s abilities, and let fans know that he would be coming out on Aug. 8. The trailer also teased the arrival of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SSGSS) Gogeta, who’ll arrive at a later date.
Janemba’s fighting style appears to be heavily influenced by his appearance in the Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn movie. While none of his moves were specifically outlined in the trailer, he appears to use his trademark portals to misdirect his opponents and unleash attacks from a variety of different angles. The trailer gives us a brief glimpse of Janemba in his base form, the round yellow monster, but it appears that most, if not all, of his time in fights will be spent in his more recognizable red and purple Super form.
Joining Janemba is SSGSS Gogeta. Featured in the recent film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, this version of Vegeta and Goku’s fusion is one of the strongest fighting forms that’s ever been featured in the series. The trailer doesn’t give us much of a preview of their abilities, but it does show Gogeta starting up a giant Kamehameha wave, just like they used in the against Broly.
Janemba will be available as part of the Dragon Ball FighterZ season pass. The trailer doesn’t give any specifics on SSGSS Gogeta’s release, outside of mentioning that the character is coming soon.
