Doom Eternal will be released on Nintendo Switch on Dec. 8, Nintendo and Bethesda Softworks announced Monday. Doom Eternal was released on PlayStation 4, Stadia, Windows PC, and Xbox One in March, with a Nintendo Switch release date expected later in the year.
“The wait is almost over,” Nintendo posted in a YouTube trailer Monday. “Get ready to conquer demons when Doom Eternal comes to Nintendo Switch on Dec. 8!” In an FAQ published on the Bethesda website, the company said the game will be digital-only, available through the Nintendo Switch eShop and through digital codes from other retailers.
Doom Eternal’s The Ancient Gods: Part One downloadable content will be released “at a later date.”
People who’ve already pre-ordered the game ahead of the release date may have had their pre-orders canceled, Bethesda said. The company said to “reach out to your retailer for instructions.”
Doom Eternal’s expected storage size on the Nintendo Switch is 18.8 GB, according to Bethesda.

RT is only reflections in this game, which you won't be seeing much considering how fast paced this game is and the pre baked lightning is already pretty good. So this is one of those games that rarely even needed a day tracing implementation, specially when it's wasn't even build with Ray tracing in mind for the future. I hope the next doom is built from the ground up with Ray tracing in mind, so it can really shine (metro Exodus remastered comes to mind)

Amazing work from ID all round. All consoles meet their respective frame rate target 99.9% of the time, and SX has a 20% resolution advantage at dynamic scaling, in-line with the TF difference.
Aniso filtering disabled but all other settings equivalent to Ultra on PC w/ RT at 1800p~ resolutions.
Incredible optimization and a great use case for $499 hardware punching above its weight.

"Ultra" but there are 2 presets above Ultra on PC. (Nightmare and Ultra Nightmare)

The console versions are good but man the PC port takes a shit on both of them even with 900p DLSS!! Like what even is DLSS
The biggest thing missing from the console versions is an oversight, not a deliberate omission.
