The biggest reason is you have to charge it everyday. That was the first thing I clearly stated i believe.
I did mention saying that this device is only intended for people who are into tracking their workouts/running or checking their pulse for that matter.
Other functionalities are as basic as what you can do on your phone. So it is better to put the money in upgrading your iPhone storage or switching to a newer model.

I don't like charging my devices overnight. I keep my iphone 7 plus charged through my laptop while I'm working (plus model means I get almost 36 hours of idle time with normal usage) and secondly it might be hazardous keeping electronic devices on charge on your bedside while sleeping.
This was the first generation and there isn't much you can do with a smart watch at the moment. The performance even after watchOS 3.2 wasn't up to the mark. With time the technology will evolve and bring new stuff which might make me change my opinion.

Then don't. Charge it before going to sleep and put it in airplane mode. You'll wake up with a nearly fully charged watch.
Sadly, I've sold it and won't be buying it till the battery improves and so does the watchOS.
