Does studying from abroad give you an 'edge'?

I may have the opportunity to do an Undergraduate program from METU (Middle East Technical University). However, I plan to work in Pakistan. So would doing, say Chemical Engineering, from METU benefit me more as compared to doing it from a local university, like NUST? Like, will it make it any easier to secure a job? I realize this is dependent upon the program and my intended career path, but generally, what do you guys think? Currently, I'm doing A-Levels.

METU is an amazing uni and honestly it's vastly underrated (in the rankings) IMO due to the lack of international students there.

Have you gotten into Chemical Engineering there or are you planning on applying? Did you apply on SAT, because most admissions there are after A Levels results. Do let me know. I can help you out a lot in this particular front.

If you got into METU's turkey campus it is an amazing university, something that I wanted to get in when I planned to do engineering. Studying abroad I personally believe while studying abroad gives you the necessary skills, local universities have the links to get you a decent job and the salary would not differ much but then again I'm a business student. In engineering it might be different, don't know the market much.

The best edge you can get is knowing someone who works where you want to work. My friend graduated from a pretty good college in the US, tried looking for a job on merit and ended up looking for a year. He called a few people up and had an interview lined up within a month :p

But on a serious note, I graduated from a really good program in the US and worked there for 1 1/2 years. I definitely had more knowledge and experience than my friends and cousins who did CS or Software Engineering here in Pakistan.

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
