DHA Lahore : WATEEN BROADBAND OR PTCL DSL?

Hi fellows

I am currently using 4 Mbps PTCL DSL, it works fine , but most of the time it disconnects automatically. and the router has to be restarted.

How is Wateen's cable internet? Should i get it and ditch PTCL?

i am using Wateen Cable. it works perfect. i actually have both PTCL DSL and Wateen Triple Play Service. fortunately both works fine for me.

Can you post a speedtest of your Wateen connection? And any power back up issues? BTW what's your location? (If you don't mind me asking)

sure here you go, my location is Phase 5, D Block. no power backup issues at all. but it depends on area to area, when i was new here, we had some backup issues, they did not take it seriously because very less houses, now that my block is almost complete so no backup issue from a year or so.

by the way i am using 4MB from Wateen.

BTW these are amazing results, your wateen and PTCL connection both work great. And if you get such good connectivity in Pakistan, its equivalent to living in Heaven for us.

PTCL acts up some time, but for a minute or two. in last 2 years i only had to complain once and that was because my phone was dead, which was fixed next morning.

I wish my ptcl worked like that. Most of the time, I have to use my 3G. That's a real battery hogger

So according to your advice I got wateen broadband. They have full power backup. But their performance is not upto the mark, speed suddenly drops to less than an mb.

I am sick and tired of this. Every company has it stupid faults. Have tried everything. Witribe,qubee,Wateen wimax, Worldcall wireless,Worldcall HFC,ptcl evo and dsl. Now this crap. Wasted thousands of rupees on each connection.

So bad . I was also using wateen wimax back in 2011 . I happens alot with me too sudden speed drops and high ping . From then I am using ptcl dsl , yes I agree it creates problem many a time . But its cheapest and unlimited with low pings and no power outs

If you have limited download like under 20gb , PTCL char G is working superb in my area
