[h=1]Destiny 2 servers are currently down for maintenance, here's what you need to know (update)[/h]

[h=2]“Ah, who doesn’t love infrastructure.”[/h]

Update 2: It looks like something went a little wrong with today’s hotfix. Bungie now says that servers aren’t expected to be online until 2 p.m. PT.

Update 1: The servers aren’t back up yet, but you’re able to download the 1.03 patch — which is a 4.795 GB update (on PS4, at least) — while you wait. If the download is taking a long time on PS4, try quitting the Destiny 2 app entirely; afterwards, our download dropped from nearly 40 minutes to under a minute.
Bungie now estimates the maintenance will be completed at 12 p.m. PT, an hour after their initial estimate. It seems like some things are coming back up; we’re alternating between this “One moment please ...” screen and the “servers are not available” error.

Original story: This morning Bungie brought down the server infrastructure behindDestiny 2 to deploy hotfix v1.2.0.1 for players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In a tweet sent out early this morning, they said that servers are expected to be back online by 11 a.m. PT. The social media team also pointed to a helpful list of tips, including things to be aware of when you log back in.

PS4 Pro is currently, easily, the best console version to play (until the X comes out most likely).
Regardless of the technical differences, the best version of a social/shared world shooter is determined by the amount of end-game content and the community health. The PS4/PS4 Pro version has the largest community by far and it also has 6 strikes compared to 5 on PC and Xbox One. That's 20% more end-game content, which is crucial in a game that has the potential to get content starved really fast. By the time it is available on other platforms, there will be a new PS4-only strike. This cycle will continue throughout the life of Destiny 2.

[h=1]Destiny 2 going offline Monday for maintenance and patch[/h]

[h=2]Well, at least it’s during work hours[/h]

Destiny 2’s servers will be down for maintenance on the morning of Monday, Sept. 25, as developer Bungie prepares to release a new patch for the game, the studio announced last night.
Bungie expects it will need five to six hours to perform maintenance, after which it will push Destiny 2’s version 1.0.3 update live.
The maintenance window is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET, when players will no longer be allowed to sign in if they’re not already playing Destiny 2. At 10 a.m., Bungie will kick all remaining players off of the game’s servers. The studio plans to bring the game back online and release the v1.0.3 patch by 3 p.m. ET.
Bungie hasn’t yet said what will change with that update. But the studio did provide a list of Destiny 2 issues that the development team is aware of and investigating:

  • Trials of the Nine was not disabled properly at this week’s ritual reset. Moving forward, players should expect this activity to be available each Friday at 10 a.m. PDT through Tuesday at 2 a.m. PDT.
  • The quest step “His Highness’s Seal” is not properly incrementing when players acquire Emperor Seals.
  • Occasionally, objects aren’t properly spawning within the Exodus Crash Nightfall strike. Players may need to relaunch the activity for objectives to properly spawn.
  • Public event completions are not properly granting Clan XP upon completion.
  • Clan Engrams are not being rewarded to some qualifying players. NOTE: If a player leaves a clan and joins a new clan mid-week, they will not be able to earn further Clan Engrams until the following weekly reset.
  • If a player creates a new character after an alternate character has earned a raid key on a given week, the key will be erroneously removed from character Inventory. NOTE: Raid keys are removed, by design, with each weekly ritual reset.
After a planned four-hour maintenance window turned into seven hours of downtime during Destiny 2’s first week of release — due to extenuating circumstances — Bungie finished work on its servers well ahead of schedule the next time around. We’ll see how this week’s maintenance goes, and we’ll update this article with details on v1.0.3 when they’re available.

Hello pg,
who here is actively playing destiny 2 , what I mean by that is who's doing all the end game activities every week. If you're active are you raiding and doing PvP every week? If you're up for raiding or PvP trails/competitive, or if you need help with leveling or exotic quests. Pm me if you're on psn. I would love to talk to other destiny 2 players from Pakistan.

[h=1]Here are Destiny 2’s PC system requirements[/h]

[h=2]Bungie promises that it’s hearing your feedback[/h]

Destiny 2’s Windows PC version is almost upon us, and developer Bungie announced today that it has finalized the game’s hardware specifications on computers.
The final system requirements are identical to the specs Bungie gave in late July, a month before the Destiny 2 beta went live on PC. Here’s the kind of gaming rig you’ll need to play the PC version of the game, which requires a 64-bit version of Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 and 68 GB of free hard drive space:

Recommended Spec
CPU
Intel: 3.4 GHz Core i5-2400 or 3.5 GHz Core i5-7400
AMD: 3.6 GHz Ryzen R5 1600X

GPU
Nvidia: 4 GB GeForce GTX 970 or 6 GB GeForce GTX 1060
AMD: 8 GB Radeon R9 390

RAM
8 GB
Minimum Spec
CPU
Intel: 3.5 GHz Core i3-3250 or 3.5 GHz Pentium G4560
AMD: 4.2 GHz FX-4350

GPU
Nvidia: 2 GB GeForce GTX 660 or 2 GB GTX 1050
AMD: 2 GB Radeon HD 7850

RAM
6 GB
The PC version of Destiny 2 will offer many advanced visual features, including support for 4K resolution, frame rates up to 144 Hz and 21:9 “ultrawide” monitors. It will be released Tuesday, Oct. 24 — just under seven weeks after the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions debuted on Sept. 6. Players will be required to play the game through Blizzard’s Battle.net, where it will go live simultaneously around the world at 10 a.m. PT. (You can see what time that translates to in your time zone here.)
A 4K screenshot of Crucible action in Destiny 2. Bungie/ActivisionBetween now and then, Bungie will launch the Prestige version of Destiny 2’s Leviathan raid. It was supposed to go live this week, but the studio postponed it to Oct. 18 after discovering an exploit. Bungie intended to fix the issue before the new date, but said today that it won’t be able to do so because “the short-term solution contains too much risk.” That doesn’t mean the team is delaying the Prestige raid again. Instead, it will still go live at 10 a.m. PT next Tuesday, with a “way to verify a clean finish” — in other words, Bungie will be able to guarantee that the first fireteam to complete the Prestige raid didn’t cheat.
“A safe fix is still being investigated for this issue,” said Bungie. “Our current plan is to deploy it as part of a future update.” The studio added that it has come up with raid challenges, which it introduced to the original Destiny a few months after the release ofThe Taken King.
“WE ARE LISTENING, BUT NEED TIME TO DIGEST EVERYTHING”
Finally, Bungie said today that it is aware of, and collecting, all the feedback that Destiny 2players have been offering so far in the five weeks since the game’s launch. Community manager Chris “Cozmo” Shannon acknowledged fan suggestions such as “ways to make the Crucible more fun” and “add a method to mass delete shaders,” as well as the most common topic of discussion among the player base: how Bungie can improve Destiny 2’s endgame.
“We are listening, but need time to digest everything and draw up the best plans for the future,” said Shannon. “We will have more to say on this soon. Please stay tuned, and keep the conversation rolling.”
Much of the chatter around Destiny 2 at the moment is negative. Some players aren’t thrilled with what they perceive to be a thin (albeit less grindy) endgame, and the game’sfirst Iron Banner event this week has gotten a tepid response because of the changes Bungie has made to it since Destiny. It sounds like the studio is trying to assuage concerned fans by acknowledging the community unrest, but we’ll have to wait to hear about the developers’ actual solutions.

Beta ran exceptionally well and when the game is at its best with lots of particle effects and dynamic lights it all looks beautiful at a silky smooth 60fps. Will be there Day 1.
