Thankgod this franchise is revive. Man i love Dead or Alive more than any fighting games like SSF and tekken franchise.. Let see what they'll come up with.. B/w nice trailer they changed gameplay mechanics. The question rises which platform they gonna bring it and whats the release date?

Console is PS3/360. But I can't believe you like DOA more than SF or Tekken. :O
I found DOA1 on the PS1 okay, but got more interested in Tekken. Later DOA games like DOA4 were crappy. This one looks good though.

This one trailer has me more interested than everything I've seen of Soul Calibur V

To be honest with you the best graphics of fighting games i ever seen is DOA 4 i know you gonna agree with me. But it was crappy bcuz of lack of players. Gameplay was ok and combination was limited. I hope they make it more better and bring breakdown combos like tekken series.

i liked doa but not as much as i like tekken or sf4 or kof ... for me doa4 is best one(most of the players dont like it that much bit i liked d0a4 the most ) because it has stunning gfx and little simpler game play then its previous entries .. i also used to play doa4 online with my friend but its online match making is so pathetic that i left playing this game ...

Impressive , the graphics are refined and it feels as if your fighting in a movie. Love the last move , reminded me of x ray moves in mk

I have loved DOA ever since it came out on the original Xbox. It's still got some of the best graphics around. And it's a damn hoot to play. Can't wait for DOA 5. It'll be my go-to casual fighting game.

BUT.....

I hope they bring in some new dynamics. I mean, I've played the last two games a whole lot, and it all boils down to a rock-paper-scissors thing. Punch-Kick-Reverse. You just use guesswork to counter the other dude.

It's not as deep as SF4 or other fighting games, but it's still a world of fun.

Not starting a flame war or anything :p

I'm pretty excited about this game. For one thing, it's finally coming back to a multiplatform release as opposed to Xbox exclusive. Another is the mechanics that have been thrown in. It's still pre-alpha but the work done looks really good. While the fight was going on, the environment changed with explosions and lots of movement and stuff. If they're bringing that into the game, it seems like a very fun mechanic to play around with. I only played the first two games in the series, so this should be my chance to catch up on it. Hope the jiggly boobs are as good as ever lol :p

I don't have a problem with people saying that they had fun with it. Of course, you can have fun with anything. But DOA is a joke competitively, especially DOA 4. IIRC DOA 2 and DOA 3.1 were the go-to tournament versions, but the last few versions have been terrible. The DOA competitive community, at least in the US, is full of frauds. I mean you guys know about my various arguments with Tekken players here, but even I admit that Tekken is way more fun (which is subjective) and is a better fighting game than DOA4 (not subjective). DOA4 is a watered down punch-counter-kick-counter game. When it comes to 3D fighting games, Tekken is the most over-the-top, Virtua Fighter is the most complex, yet both of them are pretty good. DOA tries hard to be a mix of both but fails to be as smart a game as either. I mean DOA is pretty much dead right now. Ever since CGS or whatever that organisation stopped the DOA league its been totally irrelevent. The 3DS game doesn't help its competitive scene either.

Soul Calibur is in as bad a condition as DOA is right now. But as I said on the first page, this one trailer makes me more interested than everything I've seen of SCV (which is a franchise I love, but still admit that the latest games are bad). I play almost all fighting games without my love/hate of one interfering with the other. If you're still not convinced, hear Tom Brady out, though his rants are a mix of DOA4 as a game and his hate of the US community.

The world of gaming is bigger and better than MVC 3

Dead or Alive 5 will feature move support

It was announced that dead or alive will feature move support
There will be no motion-gaming fun for Xbox owners though as kinect will miss out as no support was announced as Team Ninja "felt that it's difficult to give the feeling of swinging a katana."
Hayashi said that Move is good for "giving the players the feeling that they are Ryu Hayabusa."
Dead or Alive is scheduled for release in 2012
Thanks for reading!

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
