Need Help Please.
I made a new character today.. Started as the pyromancer and am level 2 and currently in Blightown :p.
What i want to know is, what is the best PVP build that can easily counter mages and their stupid "homing soul" spell. I have made 3 characters before.. One was made for pvp. Turned out as a fail cause i went to level 203. Far ahead of what roark suggested (150). And i use pyromancy a lot so 50 attunement is necessary along with faith spells such as healing, wrath of gods and vow of silence. And i have killed everyone in one on one melee battle but hate those ring of fog fags -_-. So what do you suggest i level up?

Well it comes down to personal choice, whats your play style? CQC or ranged? And i suggest the magic barrier spells if you are afraid of the homing souls spell, but those are easy to dodge from distance, just roll. 50 attunement??? seriosuly, thats a lot even for spells, just get the ring that increases attunement slots!!...going for ranged level up faith and intelligence. With my character i am going for a "jack of all trades" built. Working pretty well so far, i kick ass in almost 90% of pvp. Combination of some nice rings, armor, and my own spells working out good for me. P.S.i am sl 150.

What are your stats and equipment... I also prefer using all the skills so..... Help Me? :D
I use pyromancy a lot. When under attack by 2-3 people i use the poison/toxic clouds and acid surge. That makes their attacks useless.... :D. And then i finish them off with my fully upgraded gravelord sword or zweihander(fire/poison/lighting)

so, I've finally acquired the lordvessel and am currently at the Dukes Archives to slay Seath, the Scaleless. I read somewhere that Big Hat Logan is locked up in the large cell at the bottom of the building, in which the second bonfire is. But, when I went there to rescue him, there was no one there, just a dead body with a Firekeeper's soul. Could someone tell the requirements to be met for him to be there?

Did you save him in sen's fortress? If not, then he does not appear later in the game... i.e. he is dead :/

Firstly, i recommend havel's armor and havel' ring when over approaching many enemies or a boss. Use stone armor until you get havel's armor. Addition to that the iron flesh spell, help me kill most black/silver knights and bosses on one encounter. I pumped my points most in strength, vitality, endurance and dexterity. Rest in faith and intelligence just for mere use of a spell. Also change armor with occasion, for example, use highest poison resistance armor in blight town helped a lot, and various other tactics, like for the sif boss..i went in commando, coz i was like level 40, and armor slowed me down. Pumping points into resistance is useless, because i found this awesome armor for curse resistance, and for others, i got lightning defense ring, for the bosses at anor londo.

I planned my strategy every time encountering a boss, coz it helps. Also i recommend grass crest shield, coz of its ability to increase stamina at a faster rate. Make use of the boss souls and make some nice weapons. For catacombs, with my divine club, i kicked ass of skeletons, with just one hit, and use my upgraded scythe to kill ghosts in londo ruins with one hit. Make use of the titanite chunks and shards. Don't save up on them for later, coz later you find even more awesome shit. If you require strategy for a particular boss/area, i can tell you that also. Happy to help.

My problem isn't the game environment :D i've finished the game, but am now going to focus only on pvp... and resistence should be kept at 15... upgrading it further is useless, since we can get the red robe thingy armour... found in Blightown....

:/ can't i just level up 2-5 more levels :p?
Impressive built for jack of all trades. Mine is more or less the lame, i have few more points in vitality and a little less in attunement. As you are with chaos servant +2, you must also be a good pyromancer. So focus on that. I suggest don't level up to more than 160-170. As most players are looking for 150sl built in other forums. Moreover, be more offensive when it comes to pvp, keep your homing spell activated before you even encounter the other player. A good mix of ranged and melee will help long way. Also pyromancy spells have very short range when compared to sorcery. Keep your talisman and shield in one slot, and sword and pyro in other, so you can heal while you invade someone else's game. I am with the darkwraith covenant for pvp. See you around in the game. ;)

Just take a swing at them, that's what I do. Their location is always the same though, pretty easy to memorize.

Nah jk, I heard that Gwynewere was an illusion (hence the reason why she is so f*cking huge and doesn't drop any humanity when you kill her) created by the actual son of Gwyn who was raised as a daughter :p
Man wtf are those Japs smoking? One messed up family.

Well, i got the platinum in the game last night ...

3 Playthroughs with 90 hours invested.

I did level my character to 150 and could get no pvp no matter how much i tried.

It seems people are stopping between 100-120 SL. TBH makes sense at 150, i had 4 max attributes. Really would leave no build diversity.

As far as Saad and the others go for pvp, your builds are immensely flawed and will be punished heavily by good players. Most players specialize builds to one attribute and keep the rest as support.

Maxing Vitality & Endurance shouldn't even be debated.

Vitality should be atleast above 40 and endurance should be capped at 40.

Primarily you're build is based on the equipment you intend to use, you level your character accordingly. Relying on pyromancy and faith as mains will never pay off, a simple fire resistant shield or magic resistant shield will completely gimp your entire strategy.

Keeping low endurance is outright ridiculous, since majority of the players are running 2 handed great swords, you can only block 2 attacks with low endurance and the third will hit you as the second will cause a guard break. Low vitality makes u instant fodder for a backstab, armour makes little difference and unless you're using the heaviest armour, you won't even notice a difference in damage late game. I checked it out at the kiln with black knights, i was only taking 50 more HP damage per hit from the knights when i was naked as compared to a fully upgraded Elite Knight Armour. However Poise is the only thing that matters. I personally believe having a poise of 60 is a good idea, anything below 40 will just result in you being blitzed by the enemies.

My 150 Level hybrid mage with an intelligence of 50, which is extremely low for a spell caster, most pure mages cross 70 intelligence, was dealing 2500 damage per spell, the entire game revolved around me getting a spell off, which meant instant death if it connected. The moonlight sword which scales A of intelligence and has pure magic damage was also averaging around 500 points of damage.

50 points in attunement are a complete waste, i wouldn't recommend anything above 28. 7 Slots is more than enough considering there are only 4-5 spells worth using in the first place. In dark souls no matter what you do, your main combat style will be melee, with magic reserved for special occasions.

The only reason Saad is breezing through the game is because he is utterly overlevelled for his playthrough. I grinding extensively and only then was i able to achieve SL 150 on my 3rd playthrough. I capped my SL at 75 on the first run and even then i found the game to be turning very easy.

Also invading with darkmoon and forest covenant ignores level caps. The biggest low level noobs are in the forest and anor londo. I hate PVPing there, its always a OHK. So potentially you could be invading level 20 players and well it's extremely unfair in that scenario.

Specialize builds with specific weapons, spells and armour.

I have made 4 characters, 1 that was my first playthrough character and it went up to level 76 for me after gwyn. And then i made another character, but reaching anor londo, tried the grinding method, and turns out that it made the game really easy... and i was level 89 when i reached the bosses ornstien and smough. Then i decided to make a pvp only character and grinded like hell... got to level 202/203 with that one and then i started a new one, grinded and took it upto 150... Still getting no pvp... A little but not as much. And How did you get the Faith Miracles Trophy? :O. I have never successfully invaded with the blue eye orb and don't get summoned a lot even at low levels... -_-. Is the max number of times you can be summoned 2?

no, i got summoned quite often. you have to know which areas are populated by their respective levels.

for e.g. anor londo is good for level 50 or so.

painting world for 60

the best place for coop is the kiln, i got coop there from level 80 - 100 very often. The reason being that people cycle through games and since most soft cap at 120, i usually would get summoned in an ng+. You have to realize there are 2 sorts of players, players who are veterans and really experienced. They don't need coop help and infact prefer fighting alone. Then there are players that struggle with bosses, you've got to go to places that people have trouble in.

Smough/Orsteinn fight is the bane of many players, even gwyn causes problems for noobs. While i personally believe he is one of the easiest bosses to take out.

I had two coop games in anor londo for S&O and 8 in Kiln for gwyn.

The trick is rotating ur summon sign, if u don't get summoned for 10-20 seconds after putting the sign down, put another one, this rotates servers and lobbies and puts ur sign down in a new lobby.

The miracles, spells & pyromancies were pretty easy to acquire. Infact the entire plat isn't even half as hard as Demon's Souls. Every resource in the game is abundant. I don't understand people complaining about demon titanite & Twinkling titanite. I average over 20 pieces per playthrough. The Hollow has 8 lizards, crystal caves have 4, tomb of giants has 3, plus the 1 in burg and darkroot basin. That's 17 guaranteed pieces, with lizards often dropping 2 chunks. Not to mention the 4 you get from sparkly the crow and 3-4 found in various chests and loot. Demon titanite is even easier to come across, every titanite demon drops one and then there are the ones located in chests and loot.

Hell one slab of each kind is confirmed in one playthrough, chunks are easily farmable in the kiln, shards can be bought.

All in all, it's an extremely easy plat.

Is the covenant stuff necessary for the plat? I'm not that into the whole online scene this time around because frankly speaking it just isn't as good as the last one, a bit too unreliable.

Agreed on it being easy, I'm already upto 60-70% in the general process of playing the game.

The warriors of sunlight covenant rank +1 is needed for 1or2 miracles. And 1 miracle is given in exchange for Gwyn's Soul. And the Knight's Honour is Very annoying as it require's you to rank up in the darkmoon blades covenant...The Darkwraith Covenant is awesome... i easily ranked up in that since the invaded player is random and the scope for invasion increases. The Forest Hunter Covenant gives you access to Shiva, who you talk to.. then he appears as a merchant in blightown. Buy it all. You also need to get to Rank+2 for Chaos Firestorm for the pyromancy trophy. You need to give 10 eye of deaths to Nito for the miracle Gravelord Greatsword Dance. And i don't know about the Dragonlord covenant... Only got the dragon greatsword from the tail. And that's all i guess.. :/. Also Can anyone tell me how to get the "Best Weapon" trophies?? :|
