Tried it, bought it afterwards!

The HDR is amazing, the framerate is smooth, looks great @ 60 fps on the PS5!

Also, The controls are horrible with the controller, it's a mouse/keyboard game through and through. Had to waste a lot of time setting up the settings for controls!

Overall, I liked it, no bugs encountered.

Will play it more soon.

I've probably said this before, but the implementation of RT reflections in the PC version is among the worst I've seen. Your character being excloooded from the BVH is just downright hilarious. Instead, in order to see your character, you've got to enable (wat? lol) one of those mirrors (like the one in your apartment room), which use render-to-texture and lock you into a cutscene. What's even the point of having RT reflections, then 🤦‍♂️🤣

Listen to the guy who has no hardware to play the game with RT reflections. But I'm sure he has friends who do 🤣

Here. You can check out "whats the point" on your way to your friend's place 🤣

Hardware aa bhi jaye, phir bhi main character ki reflectioooon tou nahi aye gi 🤣

It got 1st place for "best graphics" due to the entire suite of RT features that it supports. Imagine if Miles (game at 2nd place) hadn't been visible in reflections. Sooo immersiooon breaking 🤷‍♂️

Now let's remind people what CerebralTiger actuoooooooally said:

A cyberpunk setting has the potential to truly benefit from ray-traced lighting and reflections. With the amount of emissive lights and reflective surfaces scattered across the open world, it'd be difficult to approximate with partially pre-baked GI/reflections.
Spot on! The amount of reflective surfaces and emissive lights are more than several other RT games combined 🤜 🤣

Looks and works great on the Series S. It's definitely a significant step up in technical aspects with regards to open-world games. I played the trial for two hours or so and the performance has been stable (encountered a couple of minor glitches). 30 fps isn't that bad but it gives a cinematic feel to everything, especially the shootouts because they are not as smooth (I don't mind the cinematic feel though). Gunplay is good and driving isn't bad. The cyberpunk looks of the city are brilliant and the lighting is mostly a treat to watch. However, the Series S version definitely needs a performance option for those who prefer it because given how good the game looks at 1440p, it wouldn't look bad on 1080p 60 fps.

My download completed late evening yesterday so I was just able to play it for a couple of hours only.

Bloody hell, the game looks absolutely stunning. Although I havent played much, but the overall Cyberpunk theme feels so well executed. I feel I am in for a treat when i finally start playing it properly after Horizon. The gunplay feels a bit iffy but I think that is because I coming off of Dying Light 2 and it might take some time getting used to it. I am playing on the performance mode, I just feel RT ON does not make that much of an impact in this game. Honestly, it was a bit hard for me to figure out any significant difference between the two graphics mode so i obviously opted for the 60fps mode. I think from the games that I have played on the PS5, Guardians of the Galaxy and Miles are probably the only games that really impressed me with their RT modes.

Briefly looked at the stats and inventory and it just felt so overwhelming for starters. There is tons of stuff there and I think i'll be spending hours tweaking each and every aspect to my play style.

For best controls, enable advanced controls in the controls settings and disable or set to 0 all the acceleration turning bonus settings. Much better this way.

For HDR lower the midpoint to 1 and increase peak brightness as much as you can.

Chalo, sources ka kuch tou faida hua 🤣

For now, just tested it out. The adaptive triggers implementation is worth praising. When driving around, the right trigger mimics a car's accelerator, and there's also feedback when gears are switched. Vehicle handling has received notable improvement in version 1.5. Good stuff (y)

On the other hand, aiming still feels awkward. Bad stuff (n)

That said, the good news is that plenty of options are available to configure aim sensitivity and turn behavior. Was able to mess around with these settings and settle for a config that was decent enough for me.

In other news, Necrokiller's fav NXGamer chimes in with his thoughts on the current-gen versions, courtesy of IGN:

Seems like the Series X|S versions have some streaming-related stutters while driving? Will wait for VG Tech and DF to confirm. Also, I'd really like to see PC performance stats under these scenarios 🤣

Feels awesome with kb+mouse as well as a controller (provided you have the right one). I would share my Steam Controller settings but it relies on gyro and track pads 🤷‍♂️ 😃

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
