Hi everyone its been a few weeks since i`ve been working on my cross desk... so i thought lets share it here.....
well i`ve been looking for a long time to get a nice desk for me... and just then i ran into this desk L3p D3sk | L3p
so i thought i should make one for myself....

i know it`s not actually the same but i tried my best to make sure that it looks similar

l3p desk is the inspiration of what i`m actually upto....

i started it from nothing.....and here`s the short story
i went to the market and got these iron bars as per my measurments...

These were apart ... i bought 3 bars and got them welded up.... then some unpleasant work.....
had to dug holes in my wall to fix it in..........
Spoiler: show

and then this little accident happened one of the holes were through ... hahah the other side of the wall looks pretty bad atm ... :D

then some nasty work with the cement ....

after all this i was really exhausted so i rested a day or two... then went to the market to gather some wood.....

i made my choice to built it into wood instead of almunium so that i can easily make any changes in it....
imo wood helped me a lot much easier in cutting and pasting it together....

got some stuff from the market a ply and some borders to hold the ply now here`s the box which would fit into those iron bars
Spoiler: show

days of work and woohoo there we go

Spoiler: show

Measurements are essential .... :)

again a visit to the market to get the glass to put it on top of it....
and some wire clips....

Spoiler: show

instead of buying a new plate for the motherboard or trying to fix it in the wood whats much easier was to cut my pc`s casing....
it was really old and crappy :p
got the base and back pannel out as according to my requirment...
Spoiler: show

YEs i know the edges are not fine.... but doesnt matters much to me....

pheww typical job to cut it in that shape...

woopss had some work to do so i had to turn it on in this way :D

pretty much what i had in mind.....

and now the front cutting has to be done so that i can fit my knees in easily
Spoiler: show

it looks really great.. i did not know that i`m such a good carpenter,

after all that i had to paint the wood. its been really challenging to what to do with the paint...
becuase i didnt know that i could actually get the result i wanted or not .... so decided not to paint it

but instead got this thing... i dont know what name does it have hahah :D
just bought it cause i liked it... and the texture is good too :)
Spoiler: show

then some modification in the case so i could finally paste the thing .....

A small opening for the PSU wires....

Yes... need some fans.... to make sure its not hot inside..... cut it with my own hands....

i couldnt really decide for the power on and reset switches....
cause the one i like are real expensive available on IMEXTREME

i cant spend 2k for 2 switches though.... will figure it out later so temporarily pulled these out from my casing....
Spoiler: show

and these lights too :D

and finally the pasting work ..... it was typical due to the corners took a few days to do so ....

Spoiler: show

continued.... didnt allow me to put more pictures in hahah :D
Spoiler: show

And ofcourse have to test newly bought LED strips.....

Spoiler: show

some more picturesss ... just random work...
Spoiler: show

hahah these fans are w11 :D bought it from saddar
will replace the led`s soon so it wont look cheap :p

my uni has started .... so less time to complete my desk but would do it soon and keep this thread updated
untill make sure to give appreciations and suggestions....

about the air flow these two fans are sucking air inside which is directly going on to the GPU so that GPU temperatures are amazing
i get 41 to 48 C in day and with my room`s air conditioner on i get almost 39 to 42 C

and i will put a fan right next to CPU that will suck all the heat out....

i`ve given a lot of thoughts of how to and where to put led strips couldnt come to a conclusion yet.....
if anyone can help me in this regard that would be great

i have 2 blue 1 white and 1 remote controlled led strip which could be changed into red green blue white and other mixed colors....
i have to put them in a way that the RC LED changes the entire atmosphere

will sort it out ..... waiting for likes :D :p

Great work man! You have got really great DIY Skills.

Use the Led Strips for edge lighting the glass and backlighting the mainboard and other components.

Also Make way for Cable Management, Which is a must!

Great Job there lots of hardwork is involved
few things which you can improve as your project in in progress i noticed Table size is too big and the hardware you have isn't much to occupy the whole thing so i would recommend hiding the half of it if not clutter it up by going for Water cooled pc so it can occupy your whole table

You Need to sleeve those CABLES to look more tidy

I would recommend going for single color scheme rather than multi colored

Rather than lying HDD on the table base better make a section and put them in

just my 2cent good luck ;)

i`m still thinking what to do with the other side of the table i can put 2 DVD roms there or maybe something else like a small amplifier or somthing i`ll work on that later.....
and yes sleeves will consider that too, i got an offer from the guy aswell....

and maybe a section ... but i like it more instead of hiding the two drives i like them on top of the table ..... my preference is this thats why havent thought of anything for these drives

and yes the pictures with led strips....

No strip, just a routine pic with those two fans emitting ugly lights ... lol :D

Single LED strip at the front edge.

havent pasted it anywhere.... just wanted to see how it looks in different colors ... this is the remote controlled one....

and for that huge glow on the back.... brightness can be reduced through remote or it can be powered off while using the system so no issues with that much light...

Didnt like it this way....

neither this.....

any advantage over desktop lol

just see the fans spinning and enjoy your rig
ehh yeah !
1. it looks great
2. i made it my self (proud :p )
3. NO more wires lying around, not on desk not beneath it, they`re all concealed
4. Enough space up to my requirements :D

i know there are cons too but " be positive " :D

wowwwwwww, Its coming smoothly. Peter Brand L3p D3Sk is not doubt one of most perfectly built desk Pcs and it required alot of work. AM also planing on doing Desk Pc for next project as this one is almost done.
any plan of adding liquid cooling option ?
Looks easy in pics and videos and custom case modding and built is the hardest part and My friend ur doing it right . Would love to talk to you abt this for guidance on trouble u have faced so it might come easy on me :p

Just a quick suggestion , some cable management and try less intense lights that might give ur pc components a vivid look, I hope that would me this more eye candy

truly that L3p desk is just perfect, and i dont think i might be going for liquid cooling system plus i dont even have a heavy gaming rig in there.....
and the only trouble is with the wires, you might need to extend some, to hide them, is not an easy job and i havent given it a thought because it was already a huge mess.
anyway the light doesnt troubles me, it shows too much glow in the pictures but itsnt in real and if you looking to build one like this you must buy remote controlled LED that would help you to reduce the brightness, i have the exact same remote, i can turn it on off and reduce the brighness upto my requirments.

Man didn't u do any cutting for cable management? also should have done some UB sleeving with led fans, most of the desks build have uv stuff, they don't use led, puts too much glare and hence haze ... please make it perfect since u already have done hard work ...

Personally i see only one game that should be truly deserving of GOTY title this year (if it delivers). And that's KCD:II

The gameplay is generic & outdated in that game. And it's 5 hour campaign is too short to enjoy.

About Hellblade 2, I just watched the story on a YT channel out of curiosity and I think it has the Hallmark of a GOTY this year. While many criticize the game and I also don't like this genre of game, I believe the story and visuals looks like a cenimatic masterpiece.
It may win the "best visuals" category, but that's about it. A GOTY contender needs to nail all aspects (Story, Gameplay, Visuals, etc)

Just downloaded Farm Simulator 2024. The game is available for free on Epic fo limited time. I always wondered how our food is harvested. This game endorsed by the UN will reveal the process of farming.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.
