Actually, if they ended DN after Light killed L, that would have been the ideal ending.

i agree with ending it at L's death but IMO it would have been incomplete end ... in the end light had to fall no matter what.. i already said this somewhere, i feel makers of code geass might have learned their lesson from death note and avoided this route.. anyways only ending acceptable would have been L sitting things up like " if i die now.. its clear light is kira" .. or L winning but without some OMGWTF twists this one would have been boring ..

No it wasn't, They nailed the ending in Death Note.It was far far more realistic and far less sappy than Code Geasse's ending of self sacrifice and whatnot.Light tried to save his Ass till the end, To see him squirm on the ground, bloody and in pain, babbling like a mad man and grasping at straws till the last breath like any normal man would despite him considering himself a God.

Seriously, death note had a great ending.

that's just a part of Anime culture, Kids do everything in the ANime world.Lelouch himself was was 17 years old during the events of Code geass.

As far as ending is concerned, it really felt short. I mean after L ended up being killed the show wasn't as interesting as it was in L's time. Code Geass maintained the consistency and the ending was miles better than that of Death Note. Plus all the character development in CG really made it worth watching. Death Note did not focus on secondary characters much, Mello, the Task Force and Near himself were highly unexplored.

Now that I think about it, DN had a pretty good ending. But it was still nothing compared to CG. The one thing that I didn't like about CG was the way Charles was defeated. Lelouch just rejecting them didn't feel right. And then they just sparkled away. Why doesn't somebody make a Code Geass vs. Monster thread? Now that's an anime actually worth comparing to CG.

However... "right" and "true" are nothing but vague terms..
Their reality could turn out to be an illusion ( like GIZMO's :umad: )
