COD 4 online problem

I waz playing COD 4 online on wateen servers from 3 months or so......!
& wtf happened today when i started the game a message appeared dat......!

"failed to receive information and your profile has been reset or something like dat waz written"

I checked the profile & what the hell i waz on lvl 1 & yet to start......!

ANywayz when i tried to join a server it said key is invalid......!
Then i googled COD 4 multiplayer key & found dat unlock all levels to 55 thread & copied only the key code not the whole info was entertained so when i verified it was valid......!
Now when i joined any of my favourities servers like wateen & mbl servers the message appeared dat.......!

"You are BANNED from this server by the admin"

So i am really screwed in this way.........!

Now plz solve my problem so i can play as soon as possible......!
Ist thing can i play like before means with the same profile with lvl 55 & bla bla......?
2nd if cannot recover the profile then i ve to start again from 1 but where to find a key & what to do with dat admin banned message........?
I hope of getting help very soon guyz........!

Note: I dont have the dvd so dont say dat get the key from there.......!

brother , the reason for your query being not answered was nothing....


1. if you get a profile corrupt and stats reset message , this is more likely due to changing windows or altering the key stored in the registry .

2. to avoid further profile loss , save the key some where safe and do not try to get banned if you get banned , you loose all your ranks

3. the banned message is due the key which you used to connect , there are keys which are globally banned and if that key is one of them , then you cannot join any server in the world



be carefull to back up COD4 registry key when you plan to change windows , in this way you will not loose your ranks

here's how t back up profile before changing windows

you need to backup your profile and your cd key with which you installed. If you don't remember which cd key you used then you can find it out in the registry - go to run and type regedit. This is the key's location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Activision\Call of Duty 4

where codkey's data is the key.

Your profile folder will be in:

X:\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\*your name*

So when the next time you install the game, use the same cd key and the profile. You will have the same stats as before.

1) Save reg key (Select cod folder.. path given before ... File > Export ... save *.reg file.
2) No need to re-install cod4, just keep it as it is .. after refreshing windows, run the saved file (to enter calues in registry), and run game !

Works coz i ported this way from xp to vista .. and xp too

U can play online in the multiplayer mode of COD 4........!
Just go there & join the servers........!
If any problem just ask.......!
