Change windows language?

Its like we just got 2 laptops ( 1 notebook hai ) from Germany but the problem is that they have original WIndows XP and VIsta but they are in German .. so any way I could change the interferance language without installing a new pirated english copy of Windows?


Tried google doesn't help much .. some say it cant be done while some say that it can be done through some MUI thingy which I didn't get

One more thing the laptops the windows serial numbers are written so if I install a new windows and put that serial code then will it still be original ?

Turn on automatic updates !!! And in optional updates there are language packs !!!Download the english on and apply it and u are good to go!!!!!!

well I think I made it to the no.3 ( I think I did lol ) but there were no language pack updates .. only office updates and several other updates but no language ones ... and does this change the whole interferance to English or only the keyboard thingy ? because that is already in English ( changed it in Regional settings )

look it will change everuthing imo but never tried !!!!!!!!!Yaar aap kahein step 2 mein ghalat ho bcoz imo u have selected imp updates , go back and select optional updates i have marked it in Step 2 bcoz in imp updates there are updates to ffice and etc....I THINK IT WILL WORK FOR YA GO BACK AND TRY!!!!

chalo phir to good hai ... and I need to install the exact same version of the Windows right ? Like if I have Vista Home Edition 32 bit now so I cant use its serial to install Vista Premium 64 bit ?

same for XP .. the current one is SP 3 ..
