XBOX Can voltage fluctuation ruin a 360's lens?

My lens has been acting up for a while and recently it like died almost completely. I took it to a shop and the guy checked it out and after a few days said I'd need to get a replacement. When I told him I had just gotten a new disk drive this January he said it could be due to the voltage fluctuations. Is he right? Because the light does come and go a lot at my house but it doesn't fluctuate :s he also said I should always keep it connected to a stabilizer is he right?

LOL typical looter, no the power fluctuation do not affect the lens in any way. Only gud thing he said was to usa a stabilizer. Also I think u got ripped off the first time you changed it in Jan.

Lens cannot be effected by voltage fluctuation while psu can be damaged. My friend used his 360 on UPS and boom, smoke comes out of it now its psu has died or maybe motherboard.

And that guys is a thief. You can get it checked by our PG 360 techies as they are experts and reliable.

You should have took it to faizy for checking instead.
