PC Can people on Origin/Steam play with one another?

As the humble bundle is getting popular, I bought it quickly as well. As some of you may know, the games which are available on BOTH Steam and Origin, you get 2 keys;one for Origin, other for Steam.

I redeemed one MoH on Origin and gave the Steam key to my friend. Now, I'm not sure what servers they use. Do they both use MoH's own servers or do they use their respective servers (Steam on steam servers, Origin on Origin servers)?

Simply put, can I (Origin MoH) play with my friend (Steam MoH)?

Games use their own servers, both of you can play.

Yes, you can. Steam versions of Battlefield bad company 2, Medal of honor, burnout paradise all use EA log in and servers.
