buying a TV for Xbox 360: NEED HELP!!!

I want to buy a HDTV (SAMSUNG) for my Xbox 360 (for Gears of War 3 n Fifa 12). But I'm totally confused: issues regarding input lag, refresh rate, resolution conversion, etc. I don't want to end up wasting a lot of money, so which Samsung HD TV is the best for gaming? Please need proper advice, preferably from s/o who is using a Samsung TV with an Xbox 360. My budget is about 70k but I would prefer something in the range of 50k or 60k. The three models which I came across in the display centre were - LA40d550, LA37d540, LA40d503 (is either one worth buying?). And it would be great if you guys could send me a PM apart from replying within the thread.

Just get any 32" LCD or LED man, the more you think about it, the more youll get confused, iam playing on a 37" Samsung LCD, love it! no issue whatsoever! Just make sure you get a Samsung!

Ive played on bravia, great sound alot better than Samsung, but i still prefer Samsung LCD any day!

Bro just get a bravia LCD BX400 and it costs around 65K and its the best

Samsung display pwns Bravia. Yes, I have both. Samsung didn't have very good sound, but I was willing to compromise on that.

@OP, I'll confirm the exact model to you. But samsung 40" LCD series 6 is great for me. Got it for 65k dont know about the current rate.

Bravia and Samsung are both both but night' as compared to the Panasonic Vierra IPS LCD HDTV
if you can find it at your locale then go for it. It may cost more but it is 1000% worth it. an IPS Panel is better than even a TN LED by miles

im using a sony bravia KDL-40EX720 (led) nowadays
i used to have a sony bravia KLV-40EX400 and it was really good and great for hd gaming

My xbox doesn't work via HDMI on the 40ex400 anymore :lol: But yes, it was a great lcd for hd gaming. Though I still preferred my dads Samsung equivalent + home theatre for the sound stuff because of the superior Samsung display. So yeah, Samsung for picture quality but decent sound quality, Sony for decent comparative picture, but better sound quality. I can compromise on sound for better picture, but yeah, really depends on your priorities. If you are a picture quality lover willing to compromise on some sound quality level (though the samsung LCD series have much better speaker locations than their LEDs), go for Samsung hands down, if you want a moderate display and better off sound, stick to Sony.

And for the guy who recommended the IPS panels, they're more expensive than the LEDs how can anyone with a measly budget for an LCD buy an IPS

samsung does have better piture clarity and for sound clarity one can get a home entertainment system i use bose

Hey, why isn't Samsung LA37D540 listed on the Samsung website? Even googling it doesn't show any searches. It's like this model no doesn't even exist. I bought this LCD and just wanted to check out some reviews about this model but can't find anything about it

because they are not.
a 32incher Panasonic IPS LCD HDTV can be found @ 50K
however 40incher would be about 20-30% more expensive than a normal (bravia or samsung TN LCD HDTV) but 1000 times more more worth buying

I stopped here. Theres a lot of size sacrifice involved. I would never sacrifice this much size for an IPS panel, yes, I know what they are.
