Buyer Beware: Symbios.pk

Hi guys,
I just wanted to share my experiences with this fruad of a website called symbios.pk. I just want to highlight their incompetence and that you should be well-informed before risking any orders with this website.


I placed and order of a graphic tablet (Wacom Intuos Pro price in Pakistan, Wacom in Pakistan at Symbios.PK) on www.symbios.pk on 20 October 2017. As read on the product ad page, I was expecting delivery in 2 - 5 days when I placed the order. I chose cash on delivery option to stay safe and only to pay when the item was delivered to me. However, I recieved a call from Symbios the next day and they asked for a payment of Rs. 15,000 as advanced payment since the order amount was Rs. 35,000.


I made the payment to them via online transfer from my bank account and they acknowledged receipt. The advance payment amount is also reflected in the order screenshot. I have since then not heard from symbios regarding my order. After I did not recieve the product for 7 days, I sent symbios an email inquiring about the status of my order. I received no reply from them. After calling their number, the operator told me that it will be delivered 2 November. Since I did not recieve it on the said date I tried sending multiple emails and calls but they never replied to my emails and kept telling me that I will recieve an email or call from symbios. I never recieved any calls.


Till date I have not received the product and during my last call I was informed that they didnt have the said item in stock and are procuring it from Dubai. I asked them to cancel my order to which they agreed and committed to refund my amount by 20 November. Till date I have not received any communication from them and their helpline is not being picked up by anyone since yesterday. I am attaching screenshots of all email correspondence with symbios and as you can see I did not receive any replies from anyone. I believe that the company is deliberately using delay tactics with its customers and forcing them to wait unnecessarily. Furthermore, it is using mis-representation on its website for products that are not in stock or readily available. I was not informed that the product is not in stock because in that case I would have never ordered from symbios. I also tried to contact them through their facebook page but after I listed my order details, they vanished and never responded to me (screenshot attached).


So this is how the story goes. I want to hear other people's views as well. I am thinking of filing a complaint against this website with FIA cybercrime cell. Will they be able to help me recover my money?

Last white friday they were selling oneplus 3 for 35000rs. I paid via easypay credit card. They said they dont have stock and will refund. It took 2 months of emails and calls to get my money back. Never buying from this website again.

I will lodge a complaint against them for sure. They need to be exposed.

These guys are a complete scam artists. I had an unfortunate incident with them as well. It took them well over a month to refund my money. I say sue them. Contact consumer court & send them all these details that you have given here. I assure you your money will be in your hands in a week

I did call cyber crime guys. They told me to send them the details and they will look in to it. Seriously this is why such websites should be closely monitored

Example should be made out of such websites(such scumbags) ,I do recall a guy earlier posting about kinda same money stalling scheme from homeshopping.pk and in the end they were offering him a scratched product , also have heard about many sites offering used products

There should be a awareness section to bring these scams into light for everyone


In the end of day

I suggest
*One should never pay in advance (until you can get a hold of em and make em pay)
*Stick to cash on delivery even then make sure you get enough warranty ( keeping their rules in mind ) that you can test your product thoroughly and do test your product before paying to courier (I am not sure if that how it works here in Pakistan or the courier allows it or not)
*Always check if your local store can get you what you seek online


So far I have only purchased from Galaxy.pk and they have been around when most of these weren't even there and they never disappointed me even when there was slight chance of doing so

Thank you. I am usually a careful buyer but I wasn't expecting this from them. If I had known that they deliberately use such tactics I would've never ordered. I stopped using homeshopping for the very same reason. So far I have had good experiences with the following websites for online shopping:

1. http://www.digimaxpakistan.com/ (camera gear) very professional
2. Digital Cameras & Accessories in Pakistan | BnW Collections (camera gear and DJI stuff) very professional
3. iShopping.pk: Online Shopping in Pakistan with Free Shipping | Clothing, Smartphones, Game Consoles & Home Appliances (general electronics) very good customer service

Update: Still no money from Symbios. I keep calling them and get no response. Filed a case with FIA cyber crimes and after a month (a few days) no response from them either. Just goes to show what a waste of time and money all this is. In Pakistan unless you know someone in the right place at the right time you cant get anything done. Thats the sad reality here.

[MENTION=11766]samster[/MENTION] [MENTION=42544]murtaza12[/MENTION] , I wanted to make a New Thread about my experience at Symbios.pk but saw your post lol .I Bought a Sencor Electric heater for 5.7k for a relative from Symbios.pk even tho i had doubts about symbios but my Two wannabe friends who knew nothing told me ITS TRUSTED, When the product arrived my younger brother made a mistake and paid the courier before i could open the box, I knew it right away something is fishy since the box had tears and wears all over it. After unboxing i find out the Heater was bent and Broken from inside. I called them and they asked me to Send pictures at their whatsapp and told me "YE KUCH NAI HAIN AP KHOD BEND TEEK KARLE" , After threatening them with Consumer court they asked me to ship the product for replacement and my shipping charges (1700 Pkr ) will be covered in my next order and so i did, A week later i recieved the Delivery which was supposed to be a replacement brand new heater but instead they sent me the same bent and broken heater with New custom box HAHAHAHA. 5700 + 1700 shipping charges for nothing LOL . Now they are ignoring me like a boss. Edit : All of this happend this week.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I am still pursuing them for my money. I registered a case with FIA cyber crime but received no updates at all from them. Useless bunch of idiots.

I wanted to report to FIA too, but it will be a waste of time All the Government "IDARAY" are made for the Powerfull and wealthy $%@$. Welcome to PAKISTAN , proud to be pakistani, ...yeah right!

FIA is completely and utterly useless lol. I got scammed on OLX for 38000Rs filed a complaint and all that. Never received any updates regarding my case. Until and unless you know someone who can pull some strings it is all just a waste of time. I used some help from a guy on PG to take out the details of everyone of the family member of the guy who scammed me and went straight to his house in Rawalpindi. I asked my friends from the army to accompany me on the endeavor. After some threatening and all that I finally got the amount on the next day. In Pakistan you either need to be on a prestigious government post or filthy rich if you intend to do something. Sorry but that's the only way the system works here. Secondly I have learned a harsh lesson, Never ever pay for anything in advance no matter how reliable or trustworthy the website/person is. Ask for COD or forget it.

I agree with everything you said. But i will still pursue the case with FIA. I called their office and they have asked me to come over to provide a statement. Will be following up with them. I cant believe how spineless Symbios.pk is. I urge everyone to expose them and to spread the word.

I have read your complete complain & really apologize for this inconvenience which you have been through, My self is manager operations at symbios.pk & i can assure you that your refund has already processed & you will receive the amount shortly in your bank account whose details has been given by you , for any other correspondence you can directly email me at [email protected] ,

Moreover , the product which you have ordered was decided to arrange after receiving a partial advance amount from you , As we are working on Marketplace Model we depends on vendors who offers this product after numerous reminders to our vendor he apologize that he could not arrange this product & we sincerely apologized on this whole incident , we have informed you earlier that we will refund the advance amount as soon as we get confirmation of product availability !!

Symbios.pk is serving in Pakistan since 2007 & we are not fraud, scams because if we were doing such things we could not survive 11 years in Pakistan , we always try to satisfy our customers & solve their issues on priority basis , Here in your case delay is our mistake & we apologize for this inconvenience to you !
