Let me make it clear to everyone reading this thread,it might work or might not work for you guys depending on the time and condition
steps are in order
1.disable windows firewall and any antivirus program.
2.sign in to profile.ea.com and use UK as ur country(this helps in connecting to origin servers)
3.put ADSL mode to all in router settings
4.make sure that router's firewall is disabled
5.DHCP should be on and use these dns server addresses 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.5
6.sign in to profile.ea.com and use UK as ur country(this helps in connecting to origin servers)
7.log out of origin
8.enable DMZ mode and use the local ip address that u are currently getting(eg.mines 192.168.1.2)
dont use assign local ip by urself.
9.restart router after enabling dmz,and during this restart ur pc aswell
10.after restart go and check if the local ip is same as the one you put in the dmz window.
11.log back into origin and resume the download.if it works than u will see a big boost in origin download speed(i was getting 450-500 kbps constantly on 4mbps connection)
NOTE:if the update servers are overloaded u might not notice a change in speed, its just Origin's fault......................
Hope it helps u guys:wink2:
