I live in Defence, Phase 3, Lahore and want a wireless internet service which will used for everything other than gaming.

So is getting a 4G sim/package from a mobile network the best option nowdays?

If so then which device/service would you guys recommend, I've read good things about Zong 4G, is that my best option?

Thanks in advance!

Mobilink 3G (soon to be 4G).

If you're getting a SIM for your mobile phone, Jazz Gold is a decent package.

If you're getting the MiFi device, then pick any package according to how much data you need.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I need this to be used on the computer/laptop not cellphone.

Have you had any experience with Zong 4G, everybody I know has praised it.

Btw what's the difference between a wingle device and mifi device? Is it that wingle device doesn't allow sharing of internet with others and mifi does?

Zong is known to have Blacklisted IP addresses in some places and the speed is heavily dependent on location. If you're slightly outside the city or something, don't expect the 50-60 Mbps that people brag about.

Also, a Wingle requires constant power from a USB port, a MiFi can be charged and runs on battery for a few hours. Both devices can share the internet connection with 5 other devices.

Blacklisted IPs are not a problem for me as I'll mostly use the internet via a VPN and as I will mostly stay within Lahore range should be fine as well from what I've heard and read.

Now my next concern is, I plan to purchase the wingle or mifi device in used condition from olx or someone on PG to save some money. Is this a good idea or should I go for a new device? Other than getting no warranty on used devices, they should perform similar as the new devices right?

Used or new is entirely your choice. They will both work the same.

Thanks for the replies.

So how does the package work, I get the wireless device (usb or mifi), then get a sim card registered from the respective cell operator alongwith the desired package?

Also if I get an unlocked device, can I take out the warid sim from my cell phone and put it in the device to use my 4G package?

Thanks in advance

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
